Peel place noddle is a wonderful and unique holiday home, with a wonderful 'home from home' feel, clean, warm and comfy, no standing to attention here! Its relaxation and happiness all the way, that's our goal! The house a delightful mix of old and new with all mod cons and creature comforts. Situated off the beaten track, surrounded by fenced private gardens, an orchard and even a woodland area!
However, its only ten minuets walk to Eskdale stores and two pub's, The Bower house Inn and the King George. This is an ideal base for walking, climbing, bike riding, horse riding, canoeing and golf www.eskdalegolf.co.uk . You can also ride the 'Ratty 'www.ravenglass-railway.co.uk the nearest station 'The Green' is only 200 yards from the front door, so its possible to arrive by train during the season. This service is a 15" narrow gage steam train that links the main line in Ravenglass up to Boot village in Eskdale. Fun for all ages but a must for children. Peel place is situated half way so its only a 20 min trip to either Boot overlooked by the majestic Scafell or Ravenglass with its lovely natural beaches and wildlife filled estuary. If its peace and quiet you crave you can just kick off you shoes and put your feet up in the snug with only the wood burner and 100's of quality books for company, or take a short walk down to the river, with ideal pool's for swimming in summer but with lots of secret hideaways to be found, perfect for a blissful picnic. There is so much on offer in Eskdale and the surrounding area's, a week is just not enough. Peel place itself is a wonderful detached house that sleeps 10. It faces a magnificent view of Eskdale valley, right up to Harter fell. The accommodation comprises 5 bedrooms-1 triple room with 1 double and 1 single, 3 large bedroom's 1 with a double bed, 2 with king size beds and 1 single room with en suite Inc. walk in shower, sink and toilet. The family bathroom is equipped with a bath with shower over, sink and toilet. Downstairs there is the 'snug' with a pink granite stone fireplace and woodburning stove, desk, comfy chairs and bean bag's, games console and TV with DVD and 100's of good books! In the family room is a 42" flat screen 'smart' TV with free-sat, BT sport, netflix and a DVD player. There is an open fire (fuel included in rent) surrounded by comfy seating for up to ten people. On the far side of the room is a dinning table and chairs and patio doors that lead onto a decking area great for BBQ's! The gardens and orchard can be accessed via the decking as well as the front and back doors. Also downstairs is a well equipped kitchen which has a dinning table, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. Once again you can enjoy the views whilst preparing your meals. There is a utility/boot room with an old 'Belfast' sink, washing machine, dryer and lots of additional storage if needed for the larger groups. There's even a wonderful old loo downstairs with a high level flush, complete with porcelain 'pull', nostalgic for some of us! Peel Place Noddle is a gem, You would do well to find a better view anywhere in the lakes as from both inside and out its a panorama of hills and fell's! The kid's will love the gardens with lots to be explored around the orchard into the small woodland area with boulders for would be climbers and up onto the picnic area for games and fun. The heating is a mixture of storage heaters, open fire and central heating powered by a large wood burning stove. All fuel is included in the rent. BT broadband is available throughout the house at no extra cost. There is parking for 3 cars, a garage for storage of bikes, etc
