WINDOW DRESSING

I’ve never been tempted to put blinds over this window up the staircase but with all the cost of living worries I’ve been looking for ways to keep the house warm as we head towards winter (haven’t we all?!?)

I found these Cedar Tree Chilli Roman Blinds at and thought they were just perfect for this space which was admittedly missing a healthy dose of pattern (and colour!!). Better yet - these ones feature thermal lining so hopefully reducing the warmth escaping through this window!

Preparing for my long overdue mini Reno of the downstairs loo. It was re-fit a year ago but left the walls and ceilings painted pure brilliant white while I figured out what to do in there to complement the existing fittings…

Well, finally… after a week of reviewing A LOT of wallpaper samples (ps not all for the loo!) I think I have my winner! This is called Cotton Tree in Snapdragon Red (can I take moment to appreciate this name?!).

The introduction of the red is a bold and playful choice whilst the motif anchors the paper to the black and white theme currently going on. When completed there will be a small gallery wall and houseplants to complete the look.

Just hope it works!

My Mini’s new room is going to be space and Buzz Lightyear inspired. Now I haven’t drawn a thing in years, so this morning I decided to follow an online tutorial with to practice drawing Buzz!

Here’s the result…. LOL BLESS This fella looks like he missed leg day at the gym, but as a first attempt I’m pretty happy 🤣 I need to work on my proportions next time!
