Lovely Ladylegs lived a long and happy life. She died peacefully in my arms a few days ago.
Many of you met and loved her. She was very social and loved to hang out with people. Despite her long years she looked like a kitten and remained a skilled hunter and always ate her prey. (sorry bunnies) She was a mother to Walnut and a grandmother to Nancy .brooke.790
She was very loved.
Rest in peace sweet girl.

Pudding was the main event last night, New York cheesecake with the last of the raspberries from the garden made into a coulis. Delicious.

Nothing better then cooking on fire. We grilled up some delicious homemade merguez, red peppers and fennel and ate them with a couple of simple sides, tomato salad, sumac yogurt and some flat breads.

Fakeaways are always a win.
This was an Indian feast. Chicken tikka skewers and tamarind and dare lamb chops cooked on the fire. Sag king prawn and onion bhajis.

Smashed avocado on toasted ciabatta topped with a fresh crab and fennel salad and a side of smoked prawns with a lemon zest aioli with capers, dill and gherkins.

Quick and simple lunch under the shade of the apple tree.
Cannellini beans with dill, spring onions, tomatoes and a lemon olive oil dressing on a ciabatta with oven roasted sardines.

Sunday lunch in the sun.
Watermelon, fennel, red onion, olives, pumpkin seeds, pecans and feta salad. Lots of black pepper and a slug of olive oil.
Omit the feta for a perfect vegan version
