After thirteen years our Visitors Book in The Old Coach House is nearly full and will soon become a museum piece in the dresser behind the whisky decanter. Nice feedback from the 2024 season.

Old photograph of Kings House Hotel, Glen Coe - built c1750 - it was reputed to be one of the oldest licensed Inns in Scotland. It became known as the Kings House after the Government Troops utilised it as their barracks -late 1700's.
In 1732, General George Wade appointed another British army officer - Major William Caulfeild (often referred to as Caulfield in modern script) to the role of Inspector of roads in Scotland. He was not as well known as Wade, however he was in fact associated with the construction of far more roads and bridges than Wade.
Sections of the old military road and the bridges can still be seen throughout the Glen today.

Throughout history, The Kings House Hotel has been and continues to be a welcome stop to many travellers and an opportunity to stay and sample the bedrooms with outstanding views.
