We're making changes....

🚧 Monday 24th November until February 2026 🚧

We have been listening to your feedback and are making improvements to our main carpark area, including:

• Accessible parking spaces with improved surfacing and sea views
• A new drop-off and pick-up area at the front of the building
• Dedicated areas for motorcycle and minibus parking
• Improved parking layout and upgraded surface finish
• Safety improvements including speed bumps and pedestrian footpaths

Our Café, Shop, and public toilets will remain open throughout the works but please be aware that during this time, our main car park will be closed and we are unable to offer any dedicated accessible parking or drop-off facilities close to our building.

The overflow car park remains open as usual.

We appreciate your patience and apologise for any disruption during this time.

We look forward to welcoming you to an improved parking experience soon.

🌊 We think the best spot to soak up the stunning views of the Seven Sisters is right here on the viewing platform at Birling Gap.

It’s safe, secure, and absolutely spectacular - the perfect place to take it all in without getting too close to the edge.

⚠️ High tide warnings folks!

⚠ High risk of tidal cut off between Friday 8 August and Saturday 16 August ⚠

‼ Check tide times before you set out along the coast 👍

If you're planning to walk, paraglide or get out on the water along our coastline, be aware that high tides will increase the shoreline risk of getting cut off by the rising tide. This danger will continue from now until Saturday 16 August.
- Always check forecast and tides before you set out ✅
- Let someone know your plans ✅
- Carry a means of communication ✅

If you see someone in trouble, call for help: dial 999. Ask for the Coastguard. Do not enter the water yourself.

Pictured: Volunteers Katherine Nash and Dan Wittenberg. See them and fellow Newhaven RNLI crew on Service to fishermen cut off by the tide in the latest Series of BBC2's 'Saving Lives at Sea' available on BBC iPlayer (series 10, episode 2).
