Well, that didn't hang around, did it?

I knew Christmas in the barn would be popular but I'll be honest, even I'm surprised how fast that one went🎄⏩️⏩️.

Apologies again to the people we had to say no to. If only we could clone our lovely barn 🛖🛖🛖

We've had a cancellation for a weekend break - 30th October to 2nd November - which means, if you're quick, you could nab the only spot we have available until mid January 2027!

What you can expect at Manor Barn:

🔥 A toasty warm and welcoming stay, with a log burner and all firewood supplied at no extra charge.

🛌 Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms - 1 superking bedroom on the ground floor (with ground floor shower room) and 2 king size bedrooms upstairs, each with ensuite bathrooms.

🐾 No limit on the number of dogs and no extra charge! And yes, they can join you on the sofa and the beds. We provide the sofa throws, you just bring your own bed linen if your dogs sleep with you.

🌳 A rural setting with plenty of walks nearby, just one mile from the beautiful Norfolk coast and our famously quiet, sandy beaches.

🛖 The prettiest thatched barn, with all the little luxuries that make a weekend break feel really special.

Hello there 👋🐾 How are you all doing?

I took a little 2 week break that stretched out quite a bit longer. I know the algorithm will punish me but social media started to feel a bit too much - I found myself capturing moments for the 'gram and not for me and so it felt like time for a little reset. I didn't expect it to take so long.

What have I missed? What's been happening in your world?

We've welcomed a new cocker boy to the family and we couldn't be more pleased with him. We've had lots of fun introducing him to our little corner of Norfolk and generally taking time to take it all in.

But tell me.... how is it July already?!?!?

This lady has smashed it! Sue East Ruston Cottages - Norfolk Dog Retreats has walked 80 miles in 4 days in aid of and in her epic Big B**b & Bark Walk🐾🎀

A mammoth challenge that was sparked by a conversation about gratitude and wanting to give back. I am humbled by her determination and dedication to raising awareness and funds for these two amazing charities and we were honoured to host Sue's big finish

After what looked like it was going to be a wet start, the weather gods smiled on Sue today for her first day of The Big B**b and Bark Walk!

We haven't done a walkabout in a while so I thought I'd show you a few things that are new since we shared our last one.

The biggest difference is the new king size bed. The old one was lovely but, being a double, I've been meaning to swap it for a while. So that's now 2 king size and 1 superking/twin beds, all without footboards for people who are taller than me (most everyone, then!).

Can any eagle-eyed followers notice something else that's different in that bedroom? It's something I'm trialling to see if my guests prefer it over what we usually have. Any guesses? Thoughts?... 🛌🐾 🧐🔍
