A friendly group from different backgrounds joining together to sing a varied repertoire WHAT DO WE SING? it helps if you read music but is is not essential.

we sing in harmony, usually in four parts following a score. Three times year we hold a concert for friends and family at local venues.The Autumn and Spring concerts feature major choral works and the Summer concert is usually more light hearted, the choir's repertoire ranging from baroque to jazz, Gabrieli to Gershwin, Handel to Horovitz, Vivaldi to Vaughan Williams. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED? Make

a start by coming along to a rehearsal. We meet 7.45pm to 9.45pm on Mondays in term time at St William of York Church Hall, Du Cros Drive, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 4TJ. You will be supported by other singers, learning week by week. Free practice CDs are available to anyone wanting extra help. By the end of term you will be ready to enjoy performing with a professional orchestra and soloists. Music is a great way to meet new friends. As well as enjoying our rehearsal and a chat during the tea break, we have regular social events. The 2025 Stanmore Choral Society Carol Concert takes place on Saturday 13th December at 3:30pm at St. Mary-the-Virgin, Kenton.

Expect a heart-warming programme including Chilcott’s On Christmas Night, joyful carols, and sing-along favourites.
We’re delighted to be joined by Kids Choir Harrow, alongside conductor Alexander Turner and organist/pianist James Mooney-Dutton.

Our next concert is just around the corner! Come and join us on 28th June to hear wonderful music by Edward Elgar, Ethel Smyth and Ralph Vaughan Williams as we track how British composers were inspired by and reacted against music from abroad.
