Clarke’s Farm was a dream that felt impossible.

We had lived in the village over 20 years & Clarke’s Farm was one of my favourite old houses (I had a top 5 houses list for if I ever won the lottery!)
It really was an impulse buy - outside our budget, our present house wasn’t even on the market, my husband was working abroad.
The house & garden needed a lot of work before they would be ready for my small business dream, but the prospect that it may actually be possible really excited me!
Fate intervened & all the stars aligned- we sold our house immediately & scraped together enough funds to seal the deal (without a survey - because I knew it would put my husband off!) 🫣😜

And the rest is history!

Dream jobs don’t exist - except mine does & I’m doing it!

It goes without saying how thankful I am to mum, and how lucky I feel that I get to call this work.

But Im also thankful to past Kay; who didn’t give up on herself when she dropped out of university, who started again and found something she was actually good at, who never gave up on her dreams.

This is my actual dream, and sometimes I have to pinch myself!!

They aren’t kidding when they say that if you quit your 9-5 you end up ‘working’ 24/7 🤣🤭

Our brains are a constant whirl of to do lists, stock control, baking, bookings, new ideas, ironing, watering, cleaning, and so much more!!

Small business take up big brain space!!!

Obviously we love it - but just letting you know 🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭🤭

Camera roll full of plants, coffees & treats 😬😬

Yup I have to pay for cloud storage & no I can’t go back now!!

Another lovely plant sale yesterday in the tearoom courtyard (I think we will need to order more again soon!) you love them just as much as we do ☺️

If you have missed them so far - we are doing them every Friday in May 1 - 5 pm in the tearoom garden.

A weekend of afternoon teas ahead of us, and guests in the bed and breakfast - we feel very lucky to be living this little dream. And sharing it with you 🩷

Ad | Gifted 🚗 Hard to believe that this is where we parked our cars not so long ago!

Now that we have it set up as this beautiful courtyard area to enjoy, I can’t believe it took us so long to make use of this space properly.

The gorgeous walk around victorian greenhouse from is the show stopper of a focal point, and we are enjoying it so much already. An absolute stunner!!

If you have a wasted outdoor space - show it a little love and it might just turn into one of your new favourite garden spots too.

ps. The out takes of these voice notes are h i l a r i o u s!!! Maybe I should share them on our stories?!

Event days are super fun - but we have SO MUCH STOCK 🤣🤣🤭 It feels like a marathon getting it all out in time!!

If you came today - thank you so much!! And if you have tickets for tomorrow, I can’t wait to do it all over again with you!
