Fish and chips is a new weekly special coming to the Lion house starting friday 13th February.

Eat in with a pint or glass of wine or You can enjoy fish and chips in the comfort of your own home as take out is available too!

Happy New Year from Allendale Tar Barrels 2025

Instead of the usual, New Year’s Eve celebrations, 45 men, born in the Allen Valleys, will participate in a long-standing tradition, spreading through the streets with burning tap I was on their heads.

The ancient custom, which has been observed for at least 160 years marks the end of the old year and the beginning of the new in Allendale.

Always worth a trip to see.
