Linhay has been beautifully refreshed for summer, offering the perfect countryside escape just moments from the South Devon coast.

Hidden away in a peaceful hamlet near Noss Mayo, this spacious four-bedroom barn conversion sleeps up to eight guests and is ideal for relaxed family holidays or long weekends with friends. Inside, you’ll find light-filled living spaces full of character, vaulted ceilings, a wood burner for cosy evenings and a large dining space made for gathering together after days by the sea.

Outside, glass doors open onto a sunny private walled garden with outdoor seating, while across the grassy track from the front door you’ll find Linhay’s own enclosed meadow - a wonderful spot for children to play, long picnic lunches or simply enjoying the views across the surrounding countryside.

Guests also have access to a shared indoor heated swimming pool, open from April to October, making Linhay just as enjoyable on quieter days as it is after afternoons exploring the coast.

Looking for something different to do on a day trip from the South Hams? 🎨

We recently popped over to Plymouth to explore the colourful sculptures celebrating artist Beryl Cook, which have appeared across the city to mark the exhibition Pride and Joy at The Box.

The larger-than-life characters are inspired by Beryl Cook’s iconic paintings and can be spotted in several locations around Plymouth – making it a fun little walking trail while you explore the Barbican, The Hoe and the city centre.

The exhibition features more than 80 works and celebrates the life of one of Britain’s most distinctive artists.

If you’re staying with us in the South Hams, Plymouth makes a brilliant day out with great food, waterfront views and now a splash of colourful art too.
