Free day outs in September

Some of North Walesโ best-known historic attractions will open free of charge as part of Cadwโs annual Open Doors festival.

Explore the historic house, gardens and parkland overlooking the Menai Strait. Art activities will also be available. No booking required.
๐ฐ Penrhyn Castle, Bangor

19โ20 September | 10amโ5pm
Enjoy free entry to the castle and grounds, with slate-splitting demonstrations throughout the weekend and Victorian kitchen baking on Sunday. No booking required and parking is free.
๐บ Bodnant Garden, Conwy

12โ13 September | 9.30amโ5pm
Enjoy free entry to this spectacular Grade I-listed garden, with its Italianate terraces, riverside walks and colourful late-summer displays of dahlias, roses and hydrangeas. No booking required.
More than 200 historic sites, landmarks and hidden gems across Wales are taking part during September, although some activities must be booked in advance.
