Today marks an important milestone in the development of Heathrow West Development Consent Order journey with the publication of our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Report.

Our proposal to deliver a modern, expanded hub airport for the UK through a new terminal and an innovative runway design, can unlock capacity and economic growth faster than a full-length runway scheme that requires construction across the M25 before any new capacity can become operational.

The publication of our EIA Scoping Report represents a significant step forward in the process. The Scoping Report sets out the proposed scope and level of detail of the environmental assessment that will be undertaken as the Heathrow West proposals continue to be refined and developed. It is a critical part of ensuring that environmental considerations are embedded in the project's design and decision-making from the outset.

Beyond setting the framework for the environmental assessment, this milestone brings us closer to delivering Heathrow West's vision for the next generation of airport infrastructure:

Pioneering Runway Innovation
Our proposal incorporates an innovative shorter runway design that significantly reduces the land required for expansion while enabling additional capacity and growth to be delivered sooner.

A Next-Generation Terminal Design
Drawing on Arora Group's extensive hospitality experience, Heathrow West has been designed around a fundamentally better passenger experience. Innovative technology will support seamless passenger journeys, while a bright, intuitive and future-ready terminal will create a modern gateway for travellers.

The Report has been informed by work across a wide range of environmental and technical disciplines and will support the ongoing development and assessment of the proposals.

Its publication represents one stage in the wider DCO process. As Heathrow West progresses, there will be further opportunities for stakeholders and local communities to engage with the proposals, including through the formal consultation process in spring 2027.

We remain committed to engaging openly and constructively throughout the development of Heathrow West and will continue to provide updates as we reach future project milestones.

Is Heathrow expansion achievable on time? Not under the current plan.

In a recent interview with City A.M., our Founder and Chairman, Surinder Arora, shared key insights into the ongoing debate surrounding Heathrow’s third runway.

With Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) conceding that its original timelines of 2035 is no longer realistic, independent research commissioned along with major airlines shows that HAL's current expansive proposal, requiring major overhauls like building over the M25, will face delays well beyond 2039.

The UK needs growth, but it requires a deliverable and cost-effective plan.

Through our Heathrow West proposal, supported by leading airport technical specialists including Bechtel and Changi, we have put forward a pragmatic, phased approach:

Phase 1 (Target: 2035): Delivery of Terminal 6 and a 2,400m runway for short-haul aircraft to unlock immediate capacity and economic growth.

Phase 2: Extension to 3,500m to accommodate long-haul demand as and when it is required.

As Surinder noted: "The government needs to take a step back, take a deep breath, and look at all the options... We've got a credible option that is deliverable and affordable."

Huge congratulations to our CEO, Sanjay Arora, and the team for successfully completing the Three Peaks Challenge!

After a gruelling 36 hours, 20,000+ calories burnt, 100,000+ steps and no sleep, the team pushed through extreme exhaustion, individual setbacks, and injuries to conquer the highest summits in Scotland, England, and Wales, all to raise vital funds in support of the Arora Charitable Foundation's fundraising gala being held in November, in turn helping to fund Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Rays of Sunshine and the Arora Charitable Foundation.

Thank you to everyone across the Group and beyond who donated, sent encouraging messages, and supported the team along the journey.

Today our colleagues came together for the Arora Bake Sale in support of the Arora Charitable Foundation.

Our CEO, Sanjay Arora, and a group of his close friends are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon to raise funds for the Foundation. Every cake, cookie and brownie sold today goes towards their efforts.

We would like to thank Sohee and Anna for initiating and organising the event, and everyone across the team who baked, bought and donated in support.

Today, Arora Group launches Arora Works, our move into the flexible workspace sector.

It brings our hospitality expertise to the workplace, for everyone from fast-scaling entrepreneurs and remote teams to multinational corporations needing satellite offices.

The first site is Arora Works Hammersmith, at the Metro Building in West London. Arora Works Heathrow opens in early 2027 at the World Business Centre.
