Why did we name our lodge Stanley's Rest?!

Long before it was holiday accommodation for our guests to enjoy, the bunkhouse was a garden centre 'The Potting Shed'. My grandad Stanley was always a keen gardener and had perfectly cut grass and immaculate flower beds. I have such lovely memories of sitting in our greenhouse planting seeds with him. Naturally when my parents opened up the garden centre he was in his element and would spend most of his days sitting in the back of the polytunnel sewing seeds and repotting plants. I would always go to see him after school and sit singing with him right in the spot where Stanley's Rest garden is. Hence it had to be named after him ❤️

Thinking about my lovely Grandad today on what would of been his birthday!
