Farm worker required:

We are a family-owned arable farm located near Stowmarket in central Suffolk. Farming about 700 hectares, including contract farm agreements.
Cropping includes winter wheat, winter and spring barley, beans. linseed and numerous environmental stewardship options, together with 3200 free range hens and holiday cottages.
We are now looking for seasonal work for circa 16 weeks between July and the end of October to help our team through the busy period, between harvest and autumn establishment.
The successful candidate will join our small friendly family farm business. The candidate’s role will involve most aspects of farming, from harvest operations, cultivations and drilling, through to egg picking and grounds maintenance. So a willingness to be flexible to help fulfil all these aspects is required.
Machinery revolves around Deutz tractors, Weaving tine and disc drills, SAM sprayer and New Holland Combine, with full, minimum and no till being utilised, as well as Agleader precision technology.
The successful applicant needs to have experience in operating modern farm machinery. A telehandler certificate, and PA1 and PA2 sprayer certificates would be a bonus but not essential. Also to be enthusiastic and take pride in their work, with a full clean driving license.
This position would suit someone with some prior experience looking to further develop their career. There is a possibility of the successful applicant earning a full-time role on the farm.
A very competitive renumeration based on age and experience will be offered, along with additional training where required.
