Something a little cosy… 🏡🤍

We were invited to stay at The Summerhouse in Kildwick and what a gorgeous little escape it was! ✨

From the beautiful gardens and cosy firepit to the super comfy bed, it genuinely felt like the perfect place to slow down and switch off. There were board games to enjoy, w**e waiting for us and honestly every amenity you could possibly need for a relaxing stay 🍷🎲

A huge thank you to Lindsey, who was such a lovely host and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s those little touches that make a stay feel extra special 🤍

This was all followed by a GORGEOUS breakfast at which has a reel coming shortly to follow 🤍

If you’re looking for a cosy countryside getaway in Kildwick, somewhere peaceful with beautiful surroundings and everything you need for a comfortable stay, The Summerhouse is definitely one to add to your list 🏡✨

We’re always looking for those little extra touches that make a stay at The Summerhouse feel special, so we’re delighted to be collaborating with Dimos 🤍

Dimos have a wonderful story behind their olive oil, and we loved the idea of introducing our guests to something made with such passion and care.

You’ll now find a little bottle of Dimos olive oil waiting in our welcome pack – a small taste to enjoy during your stay and, hopefully, a lovely new discovery to take home with you.

We absolutely love supporting independent businesses with a story to tell, and this felt like the perfect fit for The Summerhouse.

What a summer! ☀️🤍

July and August have been completely FULLY BOOKED at The Summerhouse and we honestly couldn’t be more delighted. 🥰

It’s certainly kept us busy, but reading all the wonderful 5⭐ reviews and the gorgeous messages our guests have left in our visitors’ book makes every bit of it worthwhile.

From peaceful mornings in the garden and days exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, to cosy evenings, glasses of w**e on the patio and simply switching off for a few days… we love seeing our little Summerhouse being enjoyed. 🌿🥂

And now September is almost full too… we have just ONE NIGHT remaining! 🍂

We recently bought this beautiful basket from Sarah Christie and it has quickly become one of our favourite Summerhouse essentials.

It’s perfect for carrying everything we need out into the garden – fluffy towels, refreshments, a good book and all those little touches that make a relaxing afternoon even more enjoyable.

A lovely evening walk along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal in Kildwick and Farnhill. 🦢✨

We were lucky enough to spot one of our resident swan families enjoying a peaceful evening paddle with their cygnets – a reminder of just how special this little corner of North Yorkshire really is.

The canal is lovingly cared for by the Canal & River Trust, helping to protect the waterways and the wildlife that call them home. We’re also incredibly fortunate to have dedicated local volunteers who give their time to help keep our village and canal looking so beautiful.

These peaceful canal walks are just moments from The Summerhouse and are one of our guests’ favourite ways to unwind after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
