Living Orkney Magazine

Living Orkney Magazine Living Orkney Magazine The paid-for magazine, priced £3 and available to download, has a circulation of about 2000 and a readership of just over 7500.

LIVING ORKNEY magazine has since its launch in December 2005 been serving the people of the islands archipelago of Orkney and those with a love of the county with top feature stories, reviews and comment. The pinnacle of the magazine's success came last year when at the glittering 2014 national Magazine Of The Year awards ceremony at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow it was awarded the Small Publi

shing Company Magazine of the Year 2014 award. The magazine's popularity centred around its localised people-based content and this was first evidenced in 2010 when - in its first entry into a national competition - it was Highly Commended in the PPA Scotland Scottish Magazine Awards. Numerous accolades have followed, most notably short listings although its editor John Ross Scott, nominated as Magazine Editor of the Year in in the 2011 Scottish Magazine Awards, went on to win the Chairman's Award for outstanding contribution. The Living Orkney page is an additional part of the magazine's armoury. There - as well as receiving updates on the current edition - readers are from time to time given updated photos of Orkney.
