We’re looking for compassionate, reliable people to join You Matter as Casual Support Workers (Bank Workers).

This opportunity is open to anyone interested in making a positive difference, and could be especially valuable for students studying Psychology, Social Work, Social Care or related subjects who want to gain practical frontline experience while keeping the flexibility to work around their studies.

As a Casual Support Worker, you’ll work alongside our Link Workers, Support Practitioners and residents to help create safe, supportive environments where people feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

🖤💚💛❤️ Alt Bank House is celebrating Black History Month!

The team and residents have created a fantastic display celebrating prominent members of Liverpool’s Black community and recognising the contribution Black people have made — and continue to make — to the city.

The display celebrates people from across music, sport, public life and community leadership, alongside one of Alt Bank House’s very own — Support Practitioner Korede. 🙌

We’re especially proud to see Korede included because Black History Month isn’t only about recognising the achievements of the past. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the people within our own communities who are creating change, supporting others and helping shape what comes next.

Throughout the month, we’ll continue to recognise and celebrate the history, achievements, experiences and strength of Black people across our services and the wider Liverpool City Region.

🧡 We’re hiring a Senior Housing Support Practitioner!

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate person to join our Mental Health Step-Down Services across Liverpool.

The role is focused on supporting people as they move towards greater independence — helping with resettlement, wellbeing, community engagement and sustaining tenancies, while building positive, person-centred relationships.

You’ll also play an important role in the day-to-day running of the service, including safeguarding, health and safety and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

🧠🧡 It was brilliant to meet so many Psychology students at the University of Liverpool last night!

Our team attended an event for undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology students, sharing more about the opportunities available during their studies and after graduation.

Following a short presentation, students had the chance to meet members of our team, including our current Assistant Psychologists, Amber and Raphael, ask questions and hear more about what a career with You Matter can look like.

🎓✨ This week, twenty members of our team began the 2026 six-month CAT Skills for Case Management course! 👏📚

Over the coming months, they’ll be developing their knowledge and skills while working towards ACAT accreditation—helping them provide even stronger support to people living complex lives. 💜🤝

📅 Our next course is due to begin in March 2027, and we’re now taking expressions of interest from external professionals who would like to enhance their skills.

From 1st October, River will become the single point of contact for referrals into RISE Recovery.

Whether you’re considering rehab, feel ready to take the next step or aren’t yet sure what your recovery journey looks like, support is available.

You can:

💬 Join our drop-in every Friday at 10:30am at 157 Regent Road, Liverpool, L5 9TF. We can talk through your options and help you make a referral to River.

📍 Visit any River hub or speak to your keyworker if you’re currently in treatment.

World Su***de Prevention Day was last week. The conversations it encouraged shouldn’t end there. 🧡

At Nightingale House, residents came together for an arts and crafts session with space to create, talk and reflect. These are some of the pieces they made. 🎨

The artwork will be displayed around the service, carrying that conversation into everyday life. Each piece is a reminder of what can happen when people have space to express themselves and feel heard.
