As well as 13 modern, en-suite guest bedroom, we have a beautiful south-facing terrace - overlooking our own private lake - a lounge and well-stocked, fully-licensed bar. Hosting our first ✨️Health Retreat Day✨️ on the 14th July 2024... and what a beautiful spot for it.

Here's what's expected;

'We're going to be taking a little deep dive into your health goals and your BIG PICTURE (aka your why) behind those goals.

We'll chat barriers and obstacles to your health and how you overcome these. We'll think about what has worked - and what maybe hasn't worked - for you in the past and why this might be.

Coaching behaviour + habits is really my thing, so I'm looking forward to helping you get on track with health designed for YOU and YOUR LIFE.
...And of course, what would the day be without a delicious, nutritious lunch to share and enjoy - hopefully on the beautiful sunsoaked terrace 🌞🤞

After digging into lunch, we're going to dig into food from
a learning perspective, going back to basics on what your body needs and how to work towards a more balanced diet.

With all the gorgeous landscape on our doorstep (if you've never been to before, it's in a beautiful spot with a stunning lake and scenery), I'm hoping we can get out for a walk + talk, taking in the views and the peace of being in nature 🍃

Our huge congratulations to Robynne & Curtis who tied the knot here on 31.05.2022 in a beautiful intimate ceremony, surrounded by their closest of family and friends.

Grateful to the weather gods for providing such gorgeous sunshine for them to celebrate in!

Unfortunately we have been without a phone line (or therefore Internet) since Storm Arwen on Friday 26th November. We were hopeful that it would be fixed quickly (and given a date of last Tuesday)

However we are now being informed that it will be 24th December (!!) that it is DUE to be fixed.

We are unable to redirect calls and our voicemail doesn't work as it requires the line in place so currently if you call, the phone just rings and rings.

We can only apologise to any customers or potential guests who have been or are attempting to contact us - please use our email address [email protected] to contact us as we can pick up emails from elsewhere.

C E L E B R A T I N G 10 Years at Three Wells!

Can you believe it? It's certainly boggling my mind a bit this evening. What an incredible decade we have had here 🥂

I truly wish we could be honouring this occasion with more fanfare... I had lots of plans but, alongside so many others over the course of the past year, those won't come to pass at this stage.

When we first moved here, we actually never intended to stay beyond a few years - the plan was to do it up, raise up all the profits and sell it on.

But what can I say?! This land has captured our hearts, this community has welcomed us with open arms and... Well... We had the kids (somewhat sooner and in faster succession than necessarily intended 😂) and they are growing up in the most wonderful place.

This is our home and we are so happy to be here.

We have many, many wonderful guests - some of whom have been staying with us for every one of these ten years. They have watched our business blossom and our family grow, and we know how lucky we are to have you all!

There have been ups, there have been downs (yep COVID you're up there!) but I can honestly say, I don't think we would change a thing.

Oh and please scroll to the end of the pics to some photos from the day we moved in! I hope you'll agree things are looking a bit better these days!

This gorgeous duo are finally getting married today!

What a nail-biting few weeks it has been waiting to see whether we could go ahead, after the crushing disappointment of having to cancel their original date back in June.

Send them all the very best wishes for today - they really deserve to have a wonderful time celebrating with their nearest and dearest.

Fingers crossed the sun will peek out at some stage too!

I first started writing this blog post on the benefit of smaller, more intimate Weddings, back in January of this year.

Of course, that now feels like a lifetime ago as our industry has suffered an unprecedented year of upheaval (as we all have).

However, in a lot of ways it felt like it made even more sense than ever to cover this issue.

When Jonny & I got married a little over ten years ago, we made the choice to only invite 40 of our nearest and dearest, and it's a decision I have never regretted.

There are lots of ways in which having less guests can in fact add to how incredible your special day is and I am intrigued to see whether smaller-scale Wedding become more the norm again, even after restrictions are lifted.

In the meantime, if you are thinking of scheduling a small-mid sized Wedding for next year, or want to go ahead with the 30 we are currently still allowed here in Wales, please do get in touch.

Local Caterers!

As we have decided not to hire a Chef going forward, and to use outside catering suppliers for our larger Weddings & Events, I am on the hunt for recommendations.

Interested to hear if you have had an event catered and would recommend the company - looking for Caterers who supply one or more of the following;
-
Full 2, 3 or 4-Course Sit Down Meals (40-70 guests)
Large-scale Buffets (60-120 guests)
Canapes (40+ guests)
Afternoon Teas (40+ guests)
Evening Alternatives - BBQs/Burger Vans etc.

Also interested in hearing from Private Chef's in the area as we have a large professional kitchen that can be made available for events.

Thank you so much - really hope we get some good recommendations so we can team up with local suppliers an continue to grow together.

We have an announcement!

Following many years of contemplation (even long before the dreaded C-word), we are happy to say that we are officially making the change to operate as a Bed & Breakfast full time.

Jonny & I have been hugely blessed with these three incredible children and this year, despite the many stressful aspects, has given us unprecedented time to spend in their company. We have realised that, above all else, they are our priority and we want to treasure these precious years with them as best we can.

We have lots of reassurances we would like to make though!

Firstly, we full intend to still offer Weddings, Events & Conferences - and in fact, plan to expand this section of our business more in 2021 (if we're able!)

Secondly, to all of our wonderful groups who return to us year after year - and in fact any new groups who come our way - we want to reassure you that we will continue to cater for you in exactly the same manor we always have done.

Thirdly, don't panic - the Bar will remain fully operational, open from 3pm - 10pm (or beyond) daily.

Last but not least, I hope it goes without saying that we will continue to offer the very best service that we can, constantly striving to make improvements and with the aim of making your stay with us as wonderful as possible.

The most significant change is that we will not be re-opening our in-house restaurant. We have been able to trial-run this over the summer, due to COVID19 restrictions and all of our guests appear to have been perfectly happy with the local Restaurants and take-away options available.

Longer-term, we have lots of ideas of how we can team up with other local businesses to improve this further so watch this space.

We are excited to make this change official, and hope that you will all continue to support us as you have for the last decade (can you believe it!).

So, as we have decided not to open our Restaurant for the summer here at Three Wells, I would love recommendations of where in the surrounding areas (Llandrindod, Builth, Newbridge, Rhayadar) is offering take-aways at the moment, or plan to very soon?

Bonus points for additional info such as menus, opening times and how to order - planning to put together a booklet for our guests asap letting them know so fingers crossed those of you who are local can help me out here!
