Video: Common dolphins in the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand - you find commons all over the world... even here in the UK and off the Welsh coast! This is a huge part of our WHY - looking after the beautiful natural world around us, and finding better means of doing so!

SO... next question! WHY would two zoologists come all the way from New Zealand just to care so much about how a house in North Wales is looked after? 🐬➡️🏔️

Fair question!

Before property, our whole working lives were about care — for wild dolphins in the Queen Charlotte Sound, for the guests we took out on the water to meet them, for an environmental charity Ailie was a part of founding and ran back home in Marlborough.

When we moved to North Wales (Tristan spent a decade in Bangor and never really left in his heart), we didn't want to leave that way of working behind. So we built it into the business instead.

For us, that looks like:

🌿 Working toward B-Corp certification — a proper, independently-audited standard for ethical business, not a badge we've given ourselves

🏡 Treating every property as someone's home or someone's holiday — never just a unit on a spreadsheet

🤝 Choosing local suppliers and fair arrangements over the cheapest option, every time we can

🌊 Falling more in love with this coastline every season — and running our business like people who intend to stay

🐇ALICE IN WONDERLAND TRAIL👣

🐛Did you know that it's been claimed that the original inspiration of Alice from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland was taken from a wee lass who summered right here in Llandudno!

🐰The town has now embraced its connection to Alice and the wonderland that was thought to be based on the beautiful surrounds that little Alice Liddell would explore. You can follow a trail of statues and points of interest - 34 in total! - which spans the entire town and surrounds and takes you on a journey of taking around 2-3 hours.

🐱We have slowly been uncovering each of the main points of interest and statues - next time you visit... can you find them all???

📝Walk-through Assessments

🎥Whenever we check out a new property that might suit our needs -in this case, as a potential family holiday let - we do a full video walk-through.

🔧Tris is great at picking out the potential areas that would require attention - this particular property video shows potential damp issues, windows that require replacement, single radiators and a kitchen that may need a bit of upgrading.

🤝We view so many properties at times, it's a great reminder of the idiosyncrasies with each property and allows us to share these videos with our team. Our team consists of damp specialists, RICS surveyors, lenders, legals, EPC experts and more! This provides us the means of assessing the investment and works required for each property as we crunch the numbers and see if the investment makes sense.

💷These videos also allow us to share information from each potential property investment with our investors in a visual format to provide a better understanding of each property and the work we would do to increase its value and toward its intended end-use: in this case, as a high quality, family holiday let that would exceed customer expectations!

🔅Summer is here and it's time to get out and about!

Today's adventure in North Wales is to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey... SUCH a special place!!

🌊As wildlife lovers and lovers of the sea, we often venture to one of our favourite spots along the northern section of the Anglesey Coastal Path - a 12 day, 130mile (or 200km) loop around most of the Anglesey coastline.

This is Point Lynas, where the ocean currents meet along the north-eastern point of the Isle, and where food is abundant and sealife abounds!

🐬We often spot everything from gannets, terns and falcons to grey seals, harbour porpoises, bottlenose dolphins AND (at certain times of the year) even Risso's dolphins!

🥾SO much to explore, grab your hiking boots and binoculars! It's time for an adventure!

🤝Our Invaluable Networks!

Our two founders and directors, Ailie & Tristan, are a part of two invaluable and indispensable property networks here in the UK.

The first is PIN (Property Investors Network) where we both have received training and regularly access many property professionals and their collective expertise, as well as the support of our colleagues, fellow investors and mentors.

The second is the Property Entrepreneur community - here we hone our business and entrepreneurial skills and processes whilst leaning on the market expertise, guidance and mentorship of incredibly successful property investors and business owners across Wales and throughout the UK.

Through training, networks and leaning in on our communities (read 'extended families!'), we know we never face our investment and business journey alone and have the full support of so many successful people around us! We also bring our own experiences, expertise and unique skillsets to the table where we continue to also support those in the field alongside us as well 👏

🌀Tris LOVES his little damp-meter!

We are actively hunting down properties that would make amazing holiday lets here in North Wales... and we're not adverse or afraid of having to do a little work to one!

🔧Always checking to see what might need to be done to a building, here is an interesting one we viewed just last week. In a prime location, with a little parking spot (bonus), built in Victorian times, and definitely in need of some TLC.

That is all factored in when we look at these properties, with first and foremost in mind: will it suit the families we wish to share our beautiful coastline with? Is it safe? Can we make it safe, comfortable and with everything a mum and dad would need so that THEY can thoroughly enjoy their holiday just as much as the kids?

🌸 Spring has well and truly sprung here in North Wales and it's never been a better time to explore our beautiful backyard!

As we search for properties we can convert into fun, safe, relaxing and all-round perfect for families to holiday in, we never forget to stop and sniff all the flowers and remind ourselves why we do what we do (and why we are HERE!).

🌳 Although most come to these parts for the sea, this small wooded area is just down the road from Llandudno, on the other side of the highway from Deganwy and Llandudno Junction and overlooks the entire estuary, down toward Conwy and Conwy Castle, out toward Anglesey and the Great Orme in the background.

And right now... the wild garlic is to die for!!! Definitely fairies around these parts! 🧚‍♀️

🌞🌊What are you up to this long weekend?🐚

North Wales has SO much to offer! Last week, we took advantage of the lovely, gorgeous spring sunshine and took off to Anglesey, just a short drive from Llandudno!

✨Anglesey is SUCH an incredible, magical place - and perfect for our little explorer! His new fave place is along one of the beaches just south of Holyhead - where at low tide there are rock pools galore to explore!

This time of year, as it slowly warms, the weather is a tad more sturdy and the crowds haven't arrived for the summer yet - the PERFECT time to relish the long beaches with all the family members (including the furry ones!).
