Mercury’s still retrograde, and here’s my World Cup Astro favorite moments from the past few weeks. Feeling a big hole since it ended, ngl. Big comedown after an intense tournament.
Random observation: so many of the star players were summer babies, having their actual birthdays during the tournament. Yamal, Messi, Bellingham, Haland is tomorrow and Kane’s is in a few days. Summer babies must have some kind of athletic edge. I wouldn’t know, I’m a winter one.
If I’d known about astrology 19 years ago when Lamine Yamal was born, I would have made a talisman that day. What a chart, full of Royal Stars. He has two of the four Royal Stars sitting EXACTLY on top of his two luckiest planets. That’s exceptionally rare, and incredibly auspicious.
His Venus sits on Regulus, the Heart of the Lion. This is the star tied to the Nemean Lion myth, the beast Hercules couldn’t kill with any weapon because nothing could pierce its hide, only his bare hands. Medieval astrologers called Regulus the single most powerful star for glory a person could be born under.
His Jupiter sits on Antares, the Heart of the Scorpion. The Greeks called it “rival of Mars” because it burns as red as the war planet itself. Persian astrologers made it Guardian of the West. Its whole myth is success earned through fire, not luck, the kind of player who gets better the more the stakes go up. Stunning placements. And he’s a triple Cancer, Sun and Moon both, so incredibly sweet too. If you watched his interview about how he felt winning against Messi (really upset him) it’s very thoughtful and emotional.
Most satisfying Red Card ever yesterday. Enzo Fernández’s natal chart is pretty spicy. A Moon-Mars conjunction in Scorpio alone suggests a testy character, I mean, I could tell that without looking at his chart. His Mars is also the out-of-sect malefic, so extra amped up, competitive, libidinal, basically zero chill. Too territorial and aggressive (Moon in fall, next to Mars, in a day chart), all while playing sports at the highest level (Mars in rulership) in foreign lands (9th house). Sometimes astrology is too literal
Still gutted for England. Really thought they’d make it through, but that
