Afro-Palestinians exist — and they matter.
This post highlights just a few Afro-Palestinian families and individuals in Gaza who are in urgent need of support. Many come from communities rooted in centuries of trade and migration across Africa and Palestine — a history often erased.
Now, they face not only genocide but also racism and neglect, even within humanitarian responses.
Swipe through to read their stories:
Wafaa and her children.
Layali and her sisters.
Marim and Abdullah, with their two young children.
Sulala Animal Rescue — a father and son team caring for animals through war and crisis.
Young Eman, rescuing animals while her parents struggle with illness.
And Omar, the eldest son doing all he can to support his family.
