The room was £180. The bill was £245.
Found a place that ticked everything — decent area, good reviews, price that fit the budget. Told the group chat it was sorted. Then the payment page loaded: £25 cleaning fee, £18 resort fee, £22 service charge. Same room, same night, £65 more than the number I actually chose from.
