Welcome to Northumberland Shepherd's Huts!
We have three, hand crafted timber shepherd’s huts, built within the grounds of our long established B&B, Lucker Mill House.
An affordable, comfortable and peaceful (adult only) place to stay not far from the coast and hills.
We offer you an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. It's getting back to the basics, but in a more comfortable surrounding than a tent.
Positioned with views over neighbouring pasture fields to the south, it's a real little sun trap and has privacy from the main house.
All three shepherd's huts sleep 2 people in a comfortable cosy double bed with duvets and pillows all made up for your arrival. They have a wood burning stove to keep you warm and enough wood and coal supplied for a minimum of two nights. There are even bathrobes and towels provided.
The Fisherman's hut (dog friendly) has both an en-suite shower and electricity.
Alternatively you can choose to stay in either our Woodman's (dog friendly) or Shepherd's (dog free) huts which are both electric free, so are lit by the cosy glow of the wood burning stove, tealight lanterns and torchlight. These two huts share the shower block which is just steps away from the huts themselves and contain a walk in shower, and toilet with washing facilities.
There is a Kitchen area with a kettle, fridge, microwave and washing machine with drying rack. You will find cups, glasses, plates, bowls, and cutlery to use and the all important electric sockets to keep your tech charged.
There is an amazing fire pit for you to use on an evening and also a gas barbecue. The local pub is just a very short walk away for evening meals.
In the morning, wake up with coffee and enjoy a continental hamper or a cooked breakfast sitting in the morning sunshine and in the evening relax with something nice as the sun sets and then watch the stars dance through the dark skies surrounded by our rural wildlife.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
