Well… what an eventful week at Milton Cottage! 🫣
A sudden bathroom pipe leak last Thursday brought the ceiling downstairs with it — and sadly took the sofa and rug along for the ride too. I wasn’t really looking for “open-plan living” 😵💫
Between work & a few late nights painting and wallpapering, & what feels like approximately 47000 rounds of cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning, we’ve somehow managed to turn everything around ready for guests again today. New sofas are on the way to finish off the room — thankfully with no indoor waterfall feature included this time. 😅
To our lovely resident guests, and to everyone whose bookings were affected and cancelled — thank you so much for being so kind, patient and understanding. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more thoughtful people through a very chaotic week.
Here’s hoping next week at Milton Cottage is considerably less “dramatic renovation show” and a lot more peaceful countryside retreat! 🤍
