Why Merthyr?

That was one of the first questions asked me on his podcast.

The answer is simple.

Cosy Cwtch Stays is not just about providing accommodation. It’s about investing in a town and a community that we genuinely believe has so much to offer.

Merthyr is changing. New businesses are opening, major employers are investing in the area, incredible attractions are right on the doorstep, and more people are discovering everything the South Wales Valleys have to offer. Especially when we have weather as good as it has been lately.

We wanted to create somewhere that feels like home for every guest, whether you’re here for work, visiting family, exploring the mountains or making memories with friends.

I’m incredibly grateful to for partnering with us to deliver high-quality accommodation in the heart of Merthyr.

This podcast was a chance to share the story behind the business, where it all started, and why we’re so passionate about supporting the regeneration of our town.

We’re only just getting started.

What do you love most about Merthyr?

Last week I did something very much out of my comfort zone… I recorded my very first podcast.

I’m definitely more comfortable behind the scenes than behind a microphone, but sharing the story of how Cosy Cwtch Stays began reminded me just how far we’ve come in such a short space of time.

We talked about the vision behind the business, why I wanted to create more than just a place to stay, and why showcasing the very best of Merthyr has always been so important to me.

I’m also incredibly grateful to for believing in that vision and partnering with us to deliver high-quality accommodation in Merthyr. It’s been an exciting journey, and we’re only just getting started.

A huge thank you for all the support so far. Every booking, recommendation, follow and share has helped make this possible.
