Meet Brunhilda.
She is an original 1975 German fire truck, that once saw service on the streets of Frankfurt, now lovingly converted into a stylish camper van with hippie-chic vibes. Brunhilda is the Valkyrie of Norse and Germanic myth, and the camp (and whole site) has a magical, folkloric feel to it.
Brunhilda will serve as your breakfast bar and cosy dining room space, or we can convert her for you into a double bed - and she will sleep two. Camp Brunhilda also features a spacious bell tent with a double mattress - sleeping another two, as well as a hammock, Indian daybed, a large fire bowl and a dining table with parasol - seating four.
As there are two separate berths in 'Camp Brunhilda'. (The double bed in the bell tent, and the Brunhilda which can also be made into a double bed) the pitch would be perfect for a couple, a couple with kids, or two couples.
Additionally there is also a spare bell tent, with two single Thai roll mats in it. In case you need extra space. This can be pitched in advance at your request. Therefore Camp Brunhilda can potentially sleep up to six people - in two bell tents and the camper-van.
Adjacent to the pitch is your own private camp kitchen and 'storytelling circle', with another fire pit, dutch oven, another table and rustic fireside bench seating.
The perfect Robin Hood style hideaway.
Nearby is also your luxury shower and toilet facilities in a converted farm trailer, with electricity and hot running water. This also has mains electricity to charge your phones and devices.
A little about the site.
Camp Brunhilda is set on 30 acres of re-wilded farmland - Brandiers - an idyllic micro nature reserve brimming with protected species, including great crested newts, grass snakes, door mice, bats, marsh fritillary butterflies, buzzards, badgers, red kites, ravens, and many others.
Camp Brunhilda is in the best spot on the land, with both the last rays of the setting sun, and the secret robin hood camp under the old oak tree for when the sun goes down.
There is also a lakeside bar and seating area on site, so you can get a drink, sit back and watch the wildlife.
Yes, we are licensed. Or bring your own. We're easy.
You probably won't want to leave Brandiers, but if you do, the Cotswold Water Park is a cycle ride away, and Cirencester, 'The gateway to the Cotswolds' is a short drive, as are the historic market towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury.
Kemble train station is also only a 15 minute drive away for an easy commute from London.
We can even come and pick you up in Brunhilda.
