Summer evenings at the Steading are something special 💛

We haven’t had many sunsets like this yet this year, but when the sky does put on a show, it’s one of our favourite parts of the season here.

Planning a trip to the Highlands?
Here’s a little what to pack / what to leave at home guide for staying with us at The Coach House.

Pack: walking boots or trainers, a waterproof (just in case), layers for changeable weather, and something cosy for the evenings.

Nice to bring: a good book, swimwear for lochs & wild dips, binoculars if you’ve got them, and your favourite tipple if you fancy.

Leave at home: towels, hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash — we’ve got you covered.

A few extra touches are here too (board games, laundry detergent, and our digital guidebook full of local tips). 💛

My husband and I stayed at the Coach House for four nights while visiting the Highlands, along with my sister-in-law, and it exceeded every expectation. The property is beautifully designed, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout—everything you could possibly need is provided. Waking up to that spectacular view each morning with a cup of coffee was a highlight in itself, and the peaceful, quiet setting made it even more special."
