Such a lovely sun trap, enjoy a morning brew on the front decking and a glass of wine in the evening from the side or the rear decking which overlooks the stream and the beautiful woodland behind!

A couple of days at the lodge getting it ready for a busy Easter period….

Lovely walk along the beach from Cei Beach to New Quay, breezy and a bit cloudy, but still a lovely walk!

Into New Quay for a bite to eat at Morwyr Cei Mariners which was lovely and great value!

I gambled with the walk, and had a feeling that the tide may well turn and make my retreat back to the car a little tricky, and sure enough the tide was rolling in 🤦‍♂️

A bit of “rock climbing” later and I slipped and fell in… wetting the only pair of jeans, socks and trainers I have on me for my very brief stay! 😂

If you ever stay at 33 Woodpecker Lodge New Quay Wales at the serene Woodlands Lodge Retreat New Quay West Wales then do make the effort to walk that beach to the town, it truly is lovely, whatever the weather…. Just be aware, the tide does turn!!
