Fossil walks on the Isle of Wight!

Have you ever wondered what treasures you might find on our Island beaches? Many of the recent dinosaur discoveries of new species have been made on the Island 😲 🦖

When new fossils are discovered, our specialist teams at Dinosaur Isle check them out. We often work with other scientific experts to analyse and date them, and figure out what they are.

Intrepid explorers then often have their new dinosaur named after them – how cool is that? Brighstoneus simmondsi is named after a local Island fossil collector.

Our cozy, romantic cabin for two is finally up on Airbnb ! Nestled in our gorgeous six acre field which backs on to a thousand acres of forest and woodland, we only have one other holiday let so you’ll have privacy and peace for your stay ! Our cows graze near by and all you can hear is bird song ! At night you’ll see the owls that nest in the forest fly over and you’ll hear the cuckoo !
There is a hot tub ! A hot shower, flushing toilet, fire pit with grill, towels and bedding included, everything you need in the kitchen like bbq tools and crockery, a kettle, toaster, microwave and mini fridge freezer.
