Heating oil tank maintenance / Sludge removal.
Before filling your tank for the winter you may want to consider having your tank pumped out and the sludge / debris removed. By emptying and refilling your tank we aim to remove 98% of the contaminated fuel preventing it entering your heating system. The gunk, commonly known as heating oil sludge, forms when Bacteria oxidise in your fuel and grows in the presence of water, which condenses on the tank walls as the temperatures outside the tank change.
By adding an additive it will stabilise any contaminates which are left in the tank and begin to dissolve any sludge that remains.
We will then refill your tank through a water and particle filter.
All contaminated fuel is then taken away and disposed of at our depot in the correct way.
