🥾 Walk of the Month – Simonsbath to Lynmouth (Two Moors Way 50th Anniversary Walk) 🌿🎉
This June, we’re celebrating 50 years of the Two Moors Way by highlighting one of the most spectacular sections of the entire route — the final stage from Simonsbath to Lynmouth.
Crossing some of Exmoor’s most remote and dramatic landscapes, this unforgettable walk takes you through wild open moorland, past the source of the River Exe, historic Hoar Oak Cottage and along breathtaking valleys before arriving at the sea in Lynmouth. It’s a fitting finale to one of Devon’s most iconic long-distance trails.

• Vast open moorland across the remote Chains of Exmoor
• The source of the River Exe in Exmoor’s wild heartland
• Historic landmarks including Hoar Oak Cottage
• Stunning views across the East Lyn Valley

🎉 2026 marks 50 years of the Two Moors Way, officially opened in 1976 and connecting Dartmoor and Exmoor on one of England’s great long-distance walking routes.
The final section crosses Exmoor’s remotest country before descending through the steep-sided East Lyn Valley, with unforgettable views as the river tumbles towards the sea at Lynmouth.
