New Ballot System
Ballot open until April 4th
To avoid panic this year entries will no longer be sold online on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, entries sold out in three minutes, creating a highly pressured moment that was stressful for everyone and unfairly favoured those with the fastest internet connections.
After much thought, we’ve decided to move to a ballot system, similar to the London Marathon and Wimbledon.
How the Ballot Works
Entry Fee: £5.00 (one-time, non-refundable)
Why do we charge an entry fee?
As the championships have grown in popularity, so have the costs of hosting the competition safely. The £5.00 ballot entry fee goes directly towards running costs of the event.
All profits go to charity, local community projects, and maintaining Easdale’s harbour, community hall, and island museum. Your entry fee helps support our island community whilst giving you a chance to compete!
What you get:
* Entry into the ballot draw
* If drawn, you can register one adult—or if you plan to register any children/juniors self this entry which will allow you to register up to 2 adults + 3 children/juniors total
* Family entries get a higher chance in the draw!
* If unsuccessful, enter again next year with improved odds!
Ballot will close on April 4th
Ticket Pricing: If drawn, competition tickets cost £20.00 per adult and £5.00 per child/junior. These are purchased separately after you’re drawn.
⚠️ Automatic Entry for Previous Year’s Top Finishers
If you finished in any of these categories at last year’s championships, you have automatic entry and should NOT use this ballot form:
* Top 50 skimmers overall
* Top 10 female skimmers
* Winners and runners-up in each category
* Winners of affiliated international stone skimming competitions
Automatic qualifiers will be able to register up to 2 adults + 3 children/juniors total
