And the time has come for the beatsons building supplies rally, mull 26 to get on the way with the socialising, starting tonight with the tunnocks T cake eating but be for that there is a fizzy water drinking competition on at 7:30 start at macgochans . Lovely walk on the beach doing a bit of beach cleaning too. A original t shirt from the b**r rally from 1986 wone by Owen Daley .

Today’s tour was amazing I so love showing people the wild life on mull , we started in quite dreich weather I was hoping that it would come good but before that happened we had a great time watching two otters out side (wagy’s caff) if you know , you know. Then we had the WTE sitting in its tree watching the world.
Was a great way to spend the day with two lovely families who came to mull to see Otters and WTE in the wild.

Very different view tonight from this stunning sun set last night.
I’ve spent 2 days putting stakes out for the best rally in the world , Beatsons building supplies rally, mull 26. Thanks to my side kick struan great having a young mull kid helping set up stages. I did meet quite a few people enjoy mulls wild life , as we are setting up in Dervaig we could see the otters playing in the bay .
Out tomorrow running a wild mull tours still a couple of places left.
Hopefully the weather plays a bit nicer tomorrow.

I have one tour on Monday with space available so if the family is looking for a great experience, then come join me on Monday for a tour of mull here lots of stories from the past tour of mull rally and look at what wildlife is spectating.
We are then closed till following Tuesday as I’m working on beatsons building supplies rally mull 26 .

Great day crewing on mull charters.
Alex and I had to stay in shore I didn’t get a picture of the swell but my Australian mates would be out surfing 🏄.
As you can see Monty was head photographer today, two photo 6 groups with plenty of WTE action and some dolphins, with one otters fishing in Ulva ferry harbour.
We managed to see my favourite eagle compo ,. Back at the boat pier we spotted the TV celebrity’s moving house goodies for the hotel.
And stunning views of gribun .
I have space on Monday on wild mull tours then I’m closed for the week till 13 October.

Lots happening I was packing and delivering goodies bags for the children of mull as it traditional from the mull rally organising team and this year I was on hand to help.
Then today I was putting out road signs for the Beatson building supplies rally mull 26
Had some great tour this week too with lots to see with amazing rainbows too. Yes weather had also been fun close to 300mm of rain this month. Back doing a crew day for mull charters tomorrow.
I have space on Mondays tour .
Then I’m closed till following Tuesday.

I thought I would look at rain fall so far this year taken from Torbhan in pennygheal isle of mull.
We are currently sitting at 1567mm so far this year .
September sitting at 226 .
driest month may 64mm
Wettest month June 263mm.
I mentioned this as not all of the uk has a summer.
We definitely haven’t had a summer to speak of
I’m told the wettest part of mull is fishnish and driest Iona .
What’s your rain fall figure like then .

That’s my 2 days working on mull charters.
A few pictures from both days of eagles and stunning views of mull .
Had some amazing photographs on bored both days and the general guests wanting to see the eagles but loving mull from the sea.
Some will realise the rainbow is for John and Sandra Clayton RIP that was cast other there old house. And on the way home tonight the moon was sitting above Ben more reflecting over Eorsa.
On the basalt rock column there are two eagles very camouflage. And on the other column the cow is busy studying her rock climbing skills.

Late start today to accommodate guests but this didn’t stop the wildlife coming out to see us, was very misty this morning and we had this otter come out but did the Houdini, and then this at we came across it again and this time I managed to film it swimming past us.
We had WTE eagles in the mist this morning and more otters playing with one having trouble with the new kids WTE dive bomb onto its to catch, and promptly eat it as poor otter looks on, there was dolphin about but we could not see them , at times today visibility was zero as usual give it 10 minutes.
Was really cool to see the farmers gathering the sheep on the hill what must be changing in the mist,
Them dogs definitely are the heroes.
On mull charters for next two days , still have space on Thursday with a start time of 10:00 from Pennygheal to accommodate bus with guests travelling that way.

Spent 1 hr this morning watching otters as we had morning coffee,tea, biscuits with my group today, it’s always a joy for me to show people these amazing animals we have on mull.
This afternoon we spent quite a bit of time watching white tail sea eagles, with a brief fly by of a golden eagle, after watching one of the birds in its Courtship by tree it took off giving us a fantastic view, then we found it later on, both adults with juniors flying around.
And one more otter on its way home to its holts so didn’t stop to give it room to go home , it’s one thing I can’t stress enough if you are sitting near a otter track, fresh water streams you may be unwittingly stopping it leaving the shore line. I have space tomorrow on wildmulltours,
then I’m working on mull charters Tuesday Wednesday, as I’m covering for Blair.
