Summer has finally arrived in Scotland Isle of Mull, some days it’s easier to find wildlife today was one, otters and dolphins at the start in car park. Then we had minke whales and more dolphins then family of otters had their lunch and play time as we had lunch in another great waggies cafe spot. Was cake time to at the coffee pot, and stopped at Invulusa mussels so guests could pick up bags of fresh mussels for their dinner.

For some reason we had a week of very little otter activity, it is a bit of luck and timing, and tide, so finally we had this fantastic experience watching dolphins when this family arrived, mum had a fish she delivered to the kits and then she left to catch more food and the two kits spent the next 10 minutes playing.
For once I was struggling with sun glare but still great little film of otters being otters.
And we did see the juvenile white tail doing its final test flight above the nest and in the afternoon it finally fledged the nest. Hopefully tomorrow I can find it. Back to my cladding and painting , I’m hoping to take scaffolding down today.

Can’t believe how good this came out as I am quit a long way of.
But just sat there in the rain white tail sea eagle.

Rain was the challenge today, but eventually the torrential rain became light and we managed to find most of mulls wild life.
Water falls looked fantastic today too.
The chick is still sitting on its nest and is yet to fledged, was looking very wet today, I think it’s mum watching on .

Great day to have Gary Jones wildlife photography group on board today.
Weather was testing us but we still managed a fantastic day, showing them my patch of mull is a privilege, had some great views of a diving white tail onto something that was just over a hill, then onto seeing the juvenile white tail that has still not fledged yet was looking a bit sad for its self today (bit wet). Then after spending the afternoon looking for that elusive otter , we came across the female white tail sitting in one of her favourite places that’s when mull really showed us how it can rain . Fantastic day apart from the lack of otters but hang on as I dropped every one off and set off home missus otter made an appearance so I managed to catch Sarah before she left car park , who had never seen one in the wild to be fair was not in a place we could get to without disturbing her so we just had that great moment of seeing a mull otter from a distance eating it’s supper.

It’s really good to be out in the nice weather we have finally got up in mull.
Lovely group today had lunch watching a white tail sea eagle, watching an otter, with a golden eagle watching from high above us not a bad way to spend lunchtime.
Some pictures of the sea view you get as you sit back and drink in the stunning scenery Mull has to offer.

Finally a day with no rain , well small shower and very little wind.
Plenty to see out there today, white tail sea eagle chick we are watching is very close to fledging , mum and dad sat on a hill top watching on , otters where out today putting on a great show for my tour today. And golden eagles coming out in several places one came pretty close but the others were way up in the hills , still great to see them catching thermals.

It’s not all tours so in the down time I have quite a big job on re cladding the house well one of the extensions.
We are talking it back to blue , apparently it was blue before we got the house.
And the garden is in full bloom tomatoes are good just not many ripe ones.
The 🐝 are happy loving the bottle brush, my bit of Australian foliage.
And the rain we had yesterday was 45mm.
Back to tours tomorrow have plenty of spaces this week .

This is a white tail sea eagle chick, it’s been and always is a pleasure to watch them grow and become this amazing bird.
It was ringed back in June and about to fledge .
He you can see it eating something the parents would have delivered to the nest.
That nest is the size of a double bed too.
