What excitement yesterday! I got to try out my brand new hedge trimmer!
The hedge along the front of Vine Cottage and my house always used to be my Dad’s pride and joy. I felt a great sense of responsibility when I took over the hedge cutting and inherited my Dad’s hedge trimmers.
Dad’s mantra was to cut little and often to maintain a straight (ish) hedge. Keen to follow in his footsteps, the hedge cutting at the front has become a bit of an obsession of mine! Rarely does it go 2 weeks in the summer before I’m on it!
This weekend I was met with disaster! Dad’s trusted trimmers decided to give up on me! Panic set in - the hedge was officially overgrown! (In my eyes anyway! 🤣)
There was only one thing for it! A new purchase was necessary! Forget designer shoes and handbags, I’ve got myself a new hedge trimmer!
