A great place to visit, stunning views & a great cafe ❤️

A perfect capture of the spectacular landscape and seascape at Scotland’s most Southerly Point.

The lighthouse exhibition is open daily from 11am to 5pm.
Climb the lighthouse and visit the quarterdecks each weekend, bank holiday and school holiday. We close for the winter early November.

The reserve and cliff top walks are open every day for you to enjoy long walks, photography, bird watching and topping up with fresh sea air and vitamin sea.

Another beach we like to visit near Pink Cottage is actually in a holiday park: Auchenlarie (castle Douglas) it is a beautiful cove beach.
To access this beach: park at the main club house and walk back the way you came. After the small bridge/stream head left.
This beach has a steep gradient which won’t make it suitable for everyone.

Auchenlarie also has swimming available to non-residents, a restaurant (must book), bar, small amusements, soft play area & outdoor play park

I thought I’d stop off at one of my favourite beaches on route to Pink Cottage.
Mossyard Beach is accessed direct from the A75 : Gatehouse of Fleet

Take a drive through farmland; pass the sheep and head for the water.
(At the camp site turn left)

The car park is very close to the beach. (Honesty box for parking)
There is a single toilet in the car park and great little farm shop with tasty treats.
The views of fleet bay are stunning 🩷
