After 7 years, which included months of covid lockdowns and my daughter going through chemotherapy, I am closing the doors to my B&B at the end of August. I will not miss the mountains of laundry but I will miss chatting with guests and being a part of their celebrations from engagements to birthdays, hen parties and anniversaries. I have had guests from all over the world, from Alaska to Australia, France to Finland. There have been workmen, wedding guests, golfers, fishermen, hikers, cyclists and bikers, artists, musicians and writers. I have been serenaded at breakfast by fiddlers and an African choir. I have been given poetry books, items from tourists own country, flowers and chocolates but am most grateful for the memories. I would like to thank each and every one who has stayed and given me a new appreciation of the beautiful island we live on and made it possible for me not to have a real job these last few years π All the best to you, now on to the next adventure!
