Wow what a weekend!
We hosted our first Menopause Retreat, it was such a wonderful day thanks to our amazing hosts it was truly more than I could have hoped for.
We had a talk with Verity, helping us to understand all the stages and symptoms of The Menopause. HRT and its applications and side effects.
Carrie ran a brilliant work out, with a mixture of weight training and a HIT workout.
We provided a nourishing lunch which was devoured before brownies and teas.
Annie led a fascinating talk about five elements acupuncture, teaching us about each element; how they work, affect each other and how to treat them.
She then demonstrated cupping in her pop up therapy room in the wild flower meadow. Amazing how many people you can fit in a bell tent!

We then hit the sauna and cold plunge well into the evening, with Annie running therapy sessions alongside.

Thanks so much to everyone who attended, it really was such a special day. We all came away feeling so replenished, topped up and having made some amazing new friends.

We are looking forward to hosting our Breathwork retreat
We are looking forward to hosting Nessie our Breath work facilitator who will lead us through a day of conscious connected breathwork, somatic release practices, guided journalling and gentle partner work to support deeper listening — to our bodies, ourselves and our intuition.

We hope to see you there on:

Sunday 17th May 2026

From 10am- 4:30pm

£65pp

Refreshments and a nourishing lunch provided.

Sauna and cold plunge.

Acupuncturist Annie will be teaching us about the five elements and will also be available for treatment throughout the day for a day.

Annie will be able to offer an initial consultation, where she will diagnose your element and any imbalances in your body, mind and spirit.

You will delve into your medical history and lifestyle. There will be a physical palpation as well as pulse and tongue diagnosis. Annie will create a bespoke plan for your specific health needs.

Annie has a special interest in women’s health. offering support through menstruation issues and menopause. She has also worked with many women who are receiving chemotherapy and post cancer recovery.

Annie will be offering cupping and moxibustion alongside the Acupunture.
Cupping is the placement of small suction cups on the surface of the skin. Research suggests cupping on the body can reduce pain. In addition it is anti-inflammatory and promotes increased blood circulation. It also helps to modulate the immune system. Cupping leaves temporary marking on the skin. Patients report tension release and relaxation after cupping.

Moxibustion is an essential part of Chinese medicine which takes its name from moxa, prepared from mugwort leaves.

Moxa can be held just above the skin, placed on top of an Acupunture needle or directly on the skin, over specific Acupunture points or meridians. The herb is then lit and as it slowly smoulders, heat permeates the skin and affects the flow of ‘qi’ (energy) and blood in the area being treated.

We are looking forward to our Menopause wellness day on Saturday May 16th from 10:30- 4:30pm £65pp

We will be welcoming our hosts Dr Verity Jones, Carrie Menopause body coach and Annie to run a day of learning how to prepare our bodies and minds for the next chapter.

I’ve myself have been experiencing Peri-menopausal symptoms; I’m interested in learning more and am keen to ride the wave rather than swim away from it.

Dr Verity Jones is a local GP and sexual health doctor with extensive experience of supporting women through the menopause and perimenopause. Her passion for mind-body medicine informs her person-centred management of persistent physical symptoms, such as pain, that can appear during times of hormonal fluctuation and stress.

At this retreat, Verity is not providing medical advice. Instead, she offers her clinical insight and perspective to educate the group about this life stage. She warmly offers clarity about the changes we are experiencing, space to think about your own mind-body connection and support to inform your own health journey.

Carrie - a Level 3 Personal Trainer, qualified teacher, and specialist menopause coach with a passion for helping women navigate perimenopause and beyond through strength training.

For the past two years she been working specifically with perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, supporting them to build strength, confidence, and resilience during this transformative phase of life. She is also a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist and currently training to become a Level 4 Nutritionist, so she will bring a holistic approach to women’s health and wellbeing.

Her passion has grown out of her own strength training journey which she’s been on for over 15 years and she has witnessed firsthand how transformative it can be - not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

We are excited to share a practical, empowering strength training session at the retreat that will help you feel stronger, more energised, and equipped with tools you can take home with you.

Annie is our resident 5 element acupuncturist for the weekend to book a session please let me know.

Nestled on the edge of the ancient woodland of the Frith our cabin sits lightly on the environment.
With sweeping views over Herefordshire hills and Stapleton Castle.

We built it consciously; using only eco building materials, sustainably sourced wood, recycled paper & sheep’s wool insulation, wood fibre board. Being off grid water was another cornerstone for us- creating our own power with a solar panel array, a 96 mte deep bore hole for the cleanest water to bath and drink in.
