Dear JMO members,

As you may know, we are in the process of preparing to submit morris and related dance activities to the UK’s Living Heritage Inventory (sometimes called Intangible Cultural Heritage).

We’ve been working together to prepare our submissions, and we now need your input as part of the morris community, as community consent is a crucial part of the UNESCO submission process.

This educational guide provides foundational knowledge to increase awareness of transgender identities and issues within the dance sector.

Transgender people are the experts of their own experiences, and as such One Dance UK encourages all within our sector to engage in dialogue with the trans community to better understand matters arising and how best to support them alongside doing the individual work.

Sad news of the death of Peter Boyce over Christmas, at the age of 93. His influence in the morris world lives on. His funeral will take place at 3pm on Friday January 17th in London NW7. If anyone is interested in attending please get in touch.
