Here, the only soundtrack you'll hear is the birdsong and the rustle of leaves. 🐦‍⬛🍂

With no music or outdoor speakers, nature provides the backing track to a peaceful, serene stay...

This is Hewn Yorkshire... and we are Anthony, Ed and our wonderful Team!

It’d been a while since we put our faces on here, and even longer since we shared anything of the Team who care for all the spaces you enjoy.

Hewn was built as a place to have a proper switch off and to us, it’s more than just a business - it’s a way of life we’ve come to love.

We’d love to see you soon! x

A bridge, a walk and a pint...🍺

Last week, Whorlton Bridge reopened after a seven-year restoration.

You’ll know I’m not a bridge enthusiast, but even I had to admit it was rather lovely to see it open again.

So we took Magic for a walk across it, followed the river towards Wycliffe, and made our way back in glorious sunshine!

And because after a walk you need a pint, we headed to The Brownlow Arms in Caldwell.

The Sauna at Hewn Yorkshire

Heat, cold, then rest. That’s really all there is to it.
Spend some time in the heat of The Sauna. Then step outside and cool down... the cold shower is there if you're brave! 😰Then sit for a while and do absolutely nothing.
Go again if you want to... or don’t. There’s no right way to do it!

Victor Hugo - A Sunset; one of my favourite poems…

Autumn is really starting to show it's colours across the estate now; yellows, oranges and reds all slowly turning to brown.

Sitting outside in the hot tub in the dark a different experience.🌛

Daylight means you can see more, be distracted more.

Darkness is just that, nothing to see beyond the flickering flames in the fire pit.

There’s limited things to focus on.

And so the darkness changes your attention; to enjoying the flames, to really feeling the warm waters, to enjoying a conversation with your partner-in-the-water. 🔥

A real switch off moment.
