The video begins with a girl standing behind a bar who hands a girl three drinks and says, “Hope you and your friends enjoy,” because she naturally assumes that since she has three drinks, they must be for her and a group of friends. The lady on the other side of the bar then says thank you and walks away, making the interaction seem completely normal at first. The camera then pans back towards the girl as she walks away, and she suddenly says, “Friends?”. The punchline is then revealed when the woman puts her mouth around all three straws at the same time and casually walks away, confirming that she fully intends to drink all three herself.
The humour comes from the bartender making the completely reasonable assumption that three drinks must mean three people, only to realise that one person has somehow ordered three drinks entirely for herself. The fact that the woman doesn’t explain herself or acknowledge how ridiculous it looks makes it even funnier; she simply takes all three drinks, drinks from all three straws at once, and walks away as if this is the most normal thing in the world.
Essentially, the whole joke is the bartender thinking “three drinks, probably for you and your friends,” followed by the realisation of “wait… friends?” and then the visual proof that there are, in fact, no friends because all three drinks belong to her.
