We took ownership of the Park in March 2017 after visiting many times ourselves and falling in love not only with the Park, but the surrounding area too. We have moved from a small village just outside York, and have always dreamed of moving away and owning our own campsite. It's such an idyllic place to be and we know we are going to be very happy here. ORCHARD CARAVAN PARK
Our Park is situated n

ear the beautiful village of Reeth and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Right at the eastern edge of the Dales, we offer a great location to start exploring this most wonderful area of Yorkshire. There are plenty of walks to enjoy - short or long, easy or hard and we are on the official Coast to Coast Path, as well as the Herriott Way and the Inn Way (a circular 76 mile walk taking in 26 traditional Dales inns along the way!). Wildlife and wild flowers are in abundance, and the stone walls and barns that Swaledale is renowned for can be seen in every direction. Our dog friendly Park is a very short walk from village where there are 3 pubs (also dog friendly) - The Black Bull, The Kings Arms and The Buck - which all offer food, local beers and wine. There are cafes and tea rooms, 2 bakeries, a Post Office and Village Store. Reeth also has a Tourist Information office, gift shop and the Swaledale Museum is situated here. On Friday evenings Ramsay's mobile fish & chip van arrives locally serving between 4-6. We don't have a play park here but there is a public park nearby. A local bus service runs through the village daily and visits Richmond and Catterick Garrison where banks (Richmond), larger supermarkets and a retail park can be found. The very scenic Northern Dalesman bus runs on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during the summer months. We don't have WiFi on the Park, however it is available for free in the pubs. Mobiles that use EE and O2 signals work in Reeth and some of the surrounding areas. Downloading the what3words app before your visit is recommended by Mountain Rescue Services to assist should any emergencies occur where there is no mobile signal. We are always on hand if you need any help or advice about the local area and always willing to stop and have a natter!! We hope you can visit us soon,

Saturday night is live music again at The Black Bull, Terry Gorman hits the stage for a great evening of foot tapping music, free entry, just buy a drink and chill.

Please see our previous post below. These signs are still out and sending people over the Grinton Moor road unnecessarily😖

This post seems to have falling into the hands of spammy commenters. We were just trying to get some info out to potential visitors to Swaledale in the next few days. Can't be ar**d with idiots so turning comments off,.

We have driven back from Catterick Garrison today and there is currently a road closed sign at the turning from the Range Road/A6108 towards Reeth. You can still get to Reeth this way if you drive past the road closed sign and follow the signposts to Reeth. The closure is past Downholme but the council seem to like to make road closures as confusing as possible around here.

Up in the village the road from Reeth to Muker also has a road closed sign. We went up there yesterday as far as Muker - there are temporary traffic lights but no closures.

This is posted on Wednesday Aug 5 at 3pm.

Please see the update below on the Little White bus service for the next 2 weeks

Important Service update - Swaledale Shuttle, Service 30

Please note that from Monday 8:30 on 17 August 2026 to 15:30 on Friday 21 August 2026, and again from 8:30 Monday 24 August 2026 to 15:30 on Friday 28 August 2026, our service will terminate at Low Row. We will wait at Low Row until it is time to start our return journey to head down the Dale.

Saturdays will not be affected (reading the Highways Information available).

We are sorry this is most inconvenient for us all. We have looked at other alternatives, but we would not be able to do these routes in a timely manner and others with safe passing even with our Little White Bus.

We still love you Keld folk, even though we won't be seeing you sometimes over the coming weeks.

Please be our eyes and tell us if roads open sooner.

After a very sunny and sweaty hike up Calver Hill last night to watch the eclipse the cloud rolled in😖 typical. Could still see it through the haze and the changing light down the dale was eerie. Still a cracking walk and a challenging one too! Views were worth it as always.

Touring pitches are now fully booked on weekends until September. We still have some midweek availabilty, please just message us for available dates.
