We took ownership of the Park in March 2017 after visiting many times ourselves and falling in love not only with the Park, but the surrounding area too. We have moved from a small village just outside York, and have always dreamed of moving away and owning our own campsite. It's such an idyllic place to be and we know we are going to be very happy here. ORCHARD CARAVAN PARK
Our Park is situated n
ear the beautiful village of Reeth and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Right at the eastern edge of the Dales, we offer a great location to start exploring this most wonderful area of Yorkshire. There are plenty of walks to enjoy - short or long, easy or hard and we are on the official Coast to Coast Path, as well as the Herriott Way and the Inn Way (a circular 76 mile walk taking in 26 traditional Dales inns along the way!). Wildlife and wild flowers are in abundance, and the stone walls and barns that Swaledale is renowned for can be seen in every direction. Our dog friendly Park is a very short walk from village where there are 3 pubs (also dog friendly) - The Black Bull, The Kings Arms and The Buck - which all offer food, local beers and wine. There are cafes and tea rooms, 2 bakeries, a Post Office and Village Store. Reeth also has a Tourist Information office, gift shop and the Swaledale Museum is situated here. On Friday evenings Ramsay's mobile fish & chip van arrives locally serving between 4-6. We don't have a play park here but there is a public park nearby. A local bus service runs through the village daily and visits Richmond and Catterick Garrison where banks (Richmond), larger supermarkets and a retail park can be found. The very scenic Northern Dalesman bus runs on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during the summer months. We don't have WiFi on the Park, however it is available for free in the pubs. Mobiles that use EE and O2 signals work in Reeth and some of the surrounding areas. Downloading the what3words app before your visit is recommended by Mountain Rescue Services to assist should any emergencies occur where there is no mobile signal. We are always on hand if you need any help or advice about the local area and always willing to stop and have a natter!! We hope you can visit us soon,
Ian, Sharon & Callum Hardisty
