Riverside Lodge and Glamping Hut - Hampshire Avon

Fishing in the private lake by the lodge and on your very own private swim on the Hampshire Avon is included for free. Further and exclusive fishing is available on the adjoining 80 yards of river (exclusive to this lodge). There are 4 good swims on this section available at £75 pp p/w or £35 pp for a shorter break. Further to this, day tickets can be obtained for the immediately adjoining Sandy Balls 1/2 mile stretch of the river for £10 per day pp.

The lake is well stocked with small carp, bream, roach, perch and tench and you can fish here form your veranda! The predominant species in this section of the Hampshire Avon (and all are regularly caught from the lodge) are barbel, chub, roach, and pike.

Any guest staying with Short Stay Homes who has booked the additional weeks fishing can have a complimentary half day fishing at Rockbourne Trout Fishery and the first fish will be free. In the unlikely event that you do not catch a fish you will be given a 3-4lb rainbow trout or can swap for smoked trout for a £2 supplement. Tackle and guiding are also available at an additional cost.

Should you want to venture further there are a vast number of coarse and game fishing lakes to explore in the New Forest and wider area…and also the option of the Dorset coastline or Christchurch Harbour (30 minutes’ drive).

DESCRIPTION

This luxury riverside lodge sits in a stunning and unique location, with a backdrop of ancient woodland and looking down the Hampshire Avon, one of the best coarse fishing rivers in the UK.

The award-winning lodge sits adjacent to a small lake in an elevated location within yards of the river where guests can enjoy exclusive fishing on both the lake and river. The lodge features two bedrooms (sleeping up to 4 guests), 2 bathrooms, underfloor heating, open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with log burner, and bi-fold doors out to the river and lakeside. There is also a hot tub available by request. The property has a private glamping pod in its grounds (for use of the lodge only). This can be added to your stay (additional cost) and sleeps an additional 2 guests. The Pod is located at the rear of the Lodge within 15 metres in the ancient woodland with a direct path to the Lodge. There is side access to toilet and Shower room in the Lodge.

The lodge is right on the edge of New Forest National Park so it’s a walkers and wildlife enthusiast haven. The town of Fordingbridge is just one mile away and there is an enormous range of activities to do in the National Park and wider area plus the stunning Dorset coastline is just 30 minutes’ drive.

A lovely welcome pack is provided for all guests including a bottle of Prosecco, New Forest Spring Water locally produced Jam, biscuits, milk, tea & coffee*. You will also get a discount Go New Forest card to be used locally which can provide discounts when used with participating businesses.

The stock stands at 100+ carp with a good head of 20s, 25 and 30s with a few of very large mirrors up to 54lb. There are some amazing, old and unique English carp in the lake.
These lodges have some of the most productive pegs on the lake in front of them.
The lake also has good winter form and has been known to attract a host of well known anglers over the colder months in the past.
During this time October to April the whole lake opens to fishing as the line for leisure boats is removed. The fishing is 8am-10pm.

DESCRIPTION
Butterfly Cottage Lodge contains a master bedroom and a second twin bedroom with 2 single beds (sofa beds are available for occasional extra bed space if required).
House bathroom with shower cubicle.
Full catering kitchen facilities with hob oven microwave and large Smeg fridge freezer.

Our fishing lakes surrounding Carp Lodge, are naturally spring fed from the adjoining hills, which ensures a fine stock of hard fighting Carp some in excess of 20 lbs, plus specimen Roach, Tench, Silver Bream Crucian Carp over 3lb and Perch all in prime condition. We are confident that you will find the lakes and their tranquil and beautiful surroundings to your liking and that you will return again and again, like many of our regulars, to seek out some of our more elusive specimens.

All our self catering cottages are very close to Home lake with Carp Lodge being just 50 metres away. You can add about 250 meters to get to Lower Ram lake.

Now all of our cottages accept pets. South Farm is now the place to have your dog friendly fishing holiday.

Fishing is FREE to all residents of our holiday cottages in Devon.

DESCRIPTION

Carp Lodge, which sleeps up to 6 guests, is a very spacious, two bedroom wooden lodge with a large kitchen containing a cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. There is a large lounge/dining area. It sleeps 6 in a double room and room with 2 single beds and a set of bunk beds. It has night storage heating, a large covered veranda and lovely views over Home Lake and woodland.

Wifi, electricity, heating and first basket of logs are included.

A 5 acre lake, which house around 150 carp, weighing up to 30lb. There are 5 swims, 3 of which are doubles and then 2 single swims but only 3 anglers per lodge are allowed which still gives plenty of space per peg.
The lake was dug by the owner himself so there are large variations of features and depths of water, the lake offers deep margins and it’s a fairly weedy lake so not advisable for novice anglers.
The fishery pride ourselves so highly on our fish, because they’re all home grown and hand selected by the owner who is a highly experienced angler of around 20 years. He also has his own fish farm.

DESCRIPTION
Stable Cottage (6) is a three-bedroom single storey cottage, accessed off the car free central courtyard or through the large glass conservatory from a car parking space and to its own garden with magnificent views over farmland and distant woods. The lounge / diner and large glass conservatory makes this a lovely roomy cottage with lots of space for the family. The wood burner in the lounge makes it a cosy cottage in the evenings with a DVD and Free View 32″ TV. There is a separate kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. The double bedroom is off the living room and there are 2 further twin bedrooms and a large bathroom with over the bath shower and washing/dryer machine. All of our cottages have a charcoal BBQ and outside furniture to make the most of those long summer evenings.

Wifi, electricity, heating and first basket of logs are included.

Lakeside Luxury Lodge - Lincolnshire

We have three well stocked lakes which are available for all residents to fish. With a huge variety of species the possibilities are endless! To mention a few there are Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Barbel, Tench and Chubb.

Archie’s Lake is our biggest lake at 1.5 acres. It is packed with beautiful specimens of Carp up to 26lb, Tench up to 9lb and some cracking Bream, Roach & Rudd. There are even some excellent Barbel for those colder months!

Jack’s lake's peaceful location and many features create an idyllic spot for a great days fishing, or you can simply appreciate the peace and quiet and the mature grounds which are home to a variety of wildlife including kingfisher, woodpecker, owls & badgers to name just a few!

Tommy’s lake is our newest lake and is stocked with a great mixture of fish. Tommy’s lake is popular with anglers looking for the excellent Perch and Bream.

All pegs are flat concrete set into the grass providing the perfect stable base for fishing. There are also accessible pegs for anglers with limited mobility. Residents are free to fish any of our 3 lakes during their stay.

DESCRIPTION
