ile from the village of Burray, which has a shop and a pub/restaurant/hotel Further out of the village there is the Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre and Cafe. There is a bus service which runs from St Margaret's Hope (4 miles away) through to Kirkwall (12 miles away) and then on to Stromness (25 miles away). There are more facilities at St Margaret' Hope, which is on the island of South Ronaldsay, connected by the No 4 Churchill Barrier, with shops and a post office, sandy beaches, a 9-hole Golf Course and a GP practice. The 'Hope' is also home to the Pentalina, the Pentland Ferries catamaran ferry service, with frequent daily sailings to mainland Scotland, landing at Gills Bay near John O'Groats. There are further tourist attractions on the many islands of Orkney. Kirkwall has the majestic St Magnus Cathedral situated on the main street, where there's also many shops, a leisure centre, museums, cafes, restaurants and hotels, supermarkets and harbour.
