To all our campers and glampers:
We are sorry to have to ban all fires at present - this is following concern about wildfires, the extreme heat and lack of rain we have had this summer. North Yorkshire Council and North York Moor National Parks have advised this due to high levels of concern and have sent out an emergency alert.
We know how lovely it is to sit by a campfire on an evening, however we have to think about safety first and that means no fires at present.
We are still allowing BBQs that are raised off the ground, that are only on in the stone rings and are not left unattended at any point.
