Half term fun at Land of Iron!

May Half-Term Salt Art Workshop at Land of Iron 🎨

Join us on Wednesday 27 May, 10am to 1pm, for a creative salt art workshop at Land of Iron.

Children and families can discover the magic of using salt as a medium for art. Using PVA glue, salt and watercolour paint, you’ll create your own colourful artwork inspired by the local landscape and Loftus’ ancient history.

You’ll also have the chance to visit our temporary exhibition and see real pieces of Neolithic rock art found locally to help inspire your design.

🎟 Tickets: £4 per child. Adults go free, with donations welcome.

Half term fun, local to us at Clover Hill Farm - Glamping

May Half-Term Rock Pooling in Skinningrove 🦀

Join us on Tuesday 26 May, 10am to 12pm, for a fun rock pooling adventure on the Skinningrove coastline.

We’ll head down to the shore with our friendly staff and volunteers to see what we can find in the rock pools. Look out for crabs, fish and other fascinating coastal creatures, and learn a little more about the wildlife that lives between the tides.

Nets and buckets are provided. Please bring wellies or suitable footwear, and be ready to get a little bit wet!

🎟 Tickets: £4 per child.
Adults go free, with donations welcome.

📍 Meeting point: Beach Road, near the Pigeon Fancier’s sculpture, Skinningrove.
🚗 Parking can be found near Marine Terrace.

Great place to visit & explore when staying at Clover Hill Farm.

Falling Foss Waterfall, then and now. ❤️

Tucked away in peaceful woodland just a short drive from Whitby, Falling Foss Waterfall is one of those places that feels like a proper escape from everyday life.

A gentle forest walk leads you to the waterfall, where water tumbles over rock into a clear pool below. It is perfect for a quiet moment, a scenic photo, or a breath of fresh North Yorkshire air. It is a favourite with families, dog walkers, and anyone craving a bit of calm.

Once you have explored, the nearby tea garden is the ideal reward for a well-spent stroll. Please check the tea garden’s website for opening times, as it is only open during certain months of the year. ☕🍰
