Did you know our gardens are open to everyone!!!!

With the walled garden creating its own little microclimate, the shade of the palm trees, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Bring a book, grab a picnic blanket, a cold drink and relax at your leisure.

Picnic blankets are available from our cafe/ restaurant to borrow. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Enjoy all that summer has to offer.

****We are hiring****

We are looking for a full time individual or two part time people to work alongside our small team at Scourie Lodge.

The Job
The role is mainly for housekeeping for a five bedroom hotel and will include weekends. Although everyone is expected to do a bit of everything from working in our Cafe/Restaurant The Woodland Table to washing dishes, laundry to baking.

The Perks
- We are a small team made up of all local residents with everyone having other commitments. Because of this we can offer a degree of flexibility to other commitments, full or part time hours.
- We pay above the Real Living Wage. You also get a share of gratuities split fairly between the team, 50% staff discount off food and drinks, meal on shift and pension.

Throwback to the snow at the beginning of the year.
While the snow is pretty to look at we much prefer the warm air and the sound of birdsong in our gardens.

Our bird feeders are empty and ready to be packed away for the spring in line with the new advice from RSPB
But don’t worry you’ll still see lots of birds in our garden and hear the family of pheasants!

It’s been lovely to have returning guests to visit for the start of our season. It always a bit exciting when a different type of car comes to use the car park. This time it was Alfie who was first in line for a pic behind the wheel.

There’s been some stunning spring weather recently. A perfect time of year to visit before the midgies come out to play.

Our dog approved stays are just a booking away. We’ve had quite a lot of four legged guests stay last year and this year they have some extra treats to look forward to.

As well as a dog pack in their room on arrival with treats and towels and blankets we also have our new dog library for them to browse from.

A selection of tennis balls, ball throwers, spare water bowls and leads are available to borrow throughout your stay.

The hidden gem. So many people say we need more signs on the road side. While new signs are coming after the last round of storm damage the truth is we quite like being a hidden gem. A secret that only a few get to know. It keeps our offering personal and truly caring. When you’re set on churning out numbers you can lose the personal touch that you get from that warm welcome, a comfy chair to relax and enjoy the afternoon in. A garden to wander around and explore at your own pace. A simple conversation with our friendly team who enjoy meeting so many of our guests.
In such a fast paced world it’s lovely to slow down and if that means staying hidden for a little longer then that’s fine with us.
