On Wednesday a group of Richmond Hill Open Gardens garden owners and tea team volunteers were treated to a lovely visit to the very special Holly Lodge to see what they do and to have a go at pond dipping! Last week the diaries aligned and we met up with Isabelle from Richmond soup kitchen to hear how Richmond Hill Open Garden 2026 had gone for their team who had produced lots of wonderful cakes for the tea room and to thank them for their support on the day.
Being able to support the charities who support us on the day of Richmond Hill Open Gardens is one of the best aspects of our event for Julia and myself.
Now we’re all done for 2026 and will be back 🤞 in 2028🌹💐🌻

On the Friday evening before RHOG we have a ‘Gardeners’ Tour’ so that we can enjoy each others gardens before the big day. It’s a very jolly evening 🌻
We are all delighted to announce that RHOG 2026 raised a massive £27,700 for our beneficiaries. With huge thanks to Holly Lodge and TRJFP - Twickenham for volunteers and cakes we have donated £13,100 to each. We also donated £1000 to Richmond soup kitchen and £500 to St Matthias Church. We are thrilled with such a wonderful result and hugely grateful for all the support and to all our lovely visitors 🌻

What a wonderful sunny day it was yesterday on the riverfront. were out in force in their little pods and then lots of other artists had joined in too. The atmosphere was so creative and the paintings gradually emerging were eclectic and interesting. Can’t wait to see the resulting programme on Sky Arts soon.

What a difference a week makes…the peonies, irises and poppies are still going strong but the alliums are beginning to fade in the heat. The bees are making the most of the last sweet nectar before moving to the next course of their sugary meal. This week we’ve been sitting and enjoying the garden and marvelling at the wonderful throng of visitors that were out and about on Richmond Hill this time last week 🌻 Happy Bank holiday to all our followers ☀️☀️☀️

What a day it was yesterday on sunny Richmond Hill 🌻
Almost 2000 visitors joined us for a day looking at beautiful gardens, chatting to garden owners and visiting our tearoom for a cuppa and a slice of home made cake. Huge thanks to everyone who made the day so enjoyable: the garden owners, tea team and all the wonderful volunteers and cake makers from and and for extra cakes . What a team we made 🎉 Thank you for hosting our hub and tea room .

The bees have been busy on Richmond Hill this afternoon and so have our garden owners, tea team and volunteers. Gardens have been zhuzhed, tea tables set and cakes baked… we are looking forward to a brilliant day tomorrow. Don’t forget that advanced ticket sales close at 10pm tonight so if you’re planning to join us but don’t have your ticket yet now is the time to act 🌻
