One month in… and what a start 🤍

We can hardly believe it — our first full month of welcoming guests to the huts is done, and it's gone better than we ever dared hope. Every single weekend booked, and five perfect 10/10 reviews from our very first guests.

To everyone who chose to spend their break with us, walked the lanes, brought the dog, and left such kind words — thank you. You've made the early mornings and the mowing and the endless little finishing touches feel completely worth it.

There's a real quiet magic to this corner of the Cotswolds, and we feel lucky to get to share it. Here's to a summer of many more.

Stay with us and the Cotswold Lakes are just up the road — 180 lakes spread across miles of gentle countryside, made for slowing right down. A few of our favourite ways to spend a day:

- Easy lakeside walks and nature reserves (Shorncote Reedbeds is a quiet gem)
- Paddleboarding and open-water swimming at the Country Park & Beach
- Flat, friendly cycling routes for all ages
- Birdwatching, picnics, and that lovely big-sky stillness

If you're staying with us, put The Old George Inn near the top of your list. A gentle wander from the huts, it's the kind of village pub you always hope to find, a warm welcome, a well-kept pint, and a plate of proper home-cooked food after a day out by the water.

A long Sunday lunch, a quiet midweek pint, or somewhere cosy to land after a walk, it's everything a Cotswold pub should be. Leave the car parked and amble down.

Stripes are in, the kettle's on ☀️

Mark's been out with the mower this afternoon — fresh stripes cut into the lawn, in time for Wimbledon fortnight. There's something about this stretch of summer: long light evenings, the first proper warmth, and a neat lawn practically begging for a deckchair.

Picture it — a bowl of strawberries, a cold drink, the tennis on, and your own quiet corner of the Cotswolds to enjoy it all from. Our timber huts sleep two, with your dog very welcome alongside you.

The biggest weekend in our local calendar is back. 🌾🚜

The Cotswold Show & Food Festival returns to Cirencester Park on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July, two days of arena attractions, the famous World of Dogs, hundreds of food and craft stalls, animal displays, and the kind of village-meets-country atmosphere this part of the world does better than anywhere else.

A 10-minute drive from our front door. We're already getting bookings for that weekend, so if you fancy making a proper weekend of it, show on the Saturday, lakes and lazy mornings either side, now's the moment.
