We are a month into our Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards nomination - and we could not be more grateful for every vote that has come in so far.

For those who may have missed our original post - we have been nominated for the second year running in one of the most prestigious honours in global travel.

Last year, your votes put us in the top 20.

This year marks a decade of Provence Holidays, and we are quietly hoping for something rather special - a top 10 spot.

As a thank you to everyone who votes, one voter drawn at random will win a free stay in Provence. For up to six people. At one of our villas. The cypress trees, the terracotta tiles, the long lunches in the shade - all of it, on us.

Destination Spotlight: Ménerbes

Perched high in the hills of the Luberon, Ménerbes is one of the most beautiful villages in France - and one of the most historically rich too.

Inhabited since prehistoric times, it has drawn artists, writers and discerning travellers for generations.

The village rewards those who take their time. Stroll past the 18th-century home where Dora Maar - photographer and muse of Picasso - spent every summer until her death in 1997.

Look up at Le Castellet, the 16th-century castle once owned by painter Nicolas de Staël. Step inside the Saint-Luc church, built on the site of a medieval priory.

Beyond the village, the 13th-century Abbaye Saint-Hilaire - surrounded by cherry orchards, vineyards and olive trees - is among the finest abbeys in the Luberon.

At Place de l’Horloge, the Maison de la Truffe et du Vin du Luberon occupies a 17th-century mansion with vaulted cellars given over to tastings and wine workshops. It is the kind of place that makes a morning disappear entirely.

Maison de la Placette | Gordes, The Luberon

This season, in response to rising global travel costs and the uncertainty many people are feeling about booking ahead, we made a commitment: to work with our owners to make Provence more accessible - without compromising on the quality our guests expect. Maison de la Placette is one of those properties offering 20% off select weeks this season.

In the heart of one of France’s most beautiful villages, Maison de la Placette is a six-level townhouse that has been entirely restored by renowned interior designers - and it shows at every turn.

A majestic stone staircase links the levels, a stone fireplace anchors the living room, and panoramic views of The Luberon countryside spill from every terrace.

Six en-suite bedrooms, each with air conditioning and their own private outlook, ensure everyone has a corner to call their own.

Restaurants, cafés and the famous weekly market are all just a few minutes’ walk. Gordes as it should be experienced - with a beautiful base to come back to.
