Half term by the Gower coast without the faff of flying.

We have availability at Hael Farm Cottage (sleeps 5) and Oxwich View Cottage (sleeps 6).

Amazing walks from your front door. Walking to the beach, joining the coastal path from the village and then coming back to warm, family‑friendly cottages with space for everyone, dogs included.

Cook when it suits you, spread out toys and board games, or just collapse on the sofa after a day on the sand.

From Port Eynon or Southgate it is an easy drive to Rhossili, Oxwich, Three Cliffs and Mumbles, so you can pick a different Gower beach or walk each day.

First glimpse of Port Eynon is always the sea.

As you wind down into the village, the Blue Flag beach opens out, with rock pools to explore, a stretch of sand for walking, and even a tucked away forest at low tide. The dunes behind the beach are made for scrambling, and dogs can enjoy a good run and a splash.

Oxwich View Cottage is a short stroll from the beach. Sleeping 6, there are three bedrooms, one ensuite, a family bathroom, kitchen and a living and dining space with a wood burner and french doors leading to the garden.

We have been welcoming guests since 2009, with couples often choosing Oxwich View outside school holidays and families filling the cottage in peak season. With walks from the door and the coastal path heading towards Oxwich Bay in the east and Rhossili in the west, it is an easy base for exploring the Gower Peninsula.

Sea views, sandy feet and space for everyone.

Port Eynon Beach Cottage sleeps 8 and is ideal for larger families or groups of 4. During the Autumn/Winter months we have many smaller groups wanting a room to themselves and normally travelling with their furry friends. Making the most of our super location. Just minutes by foot from the coastal path.

Built in the early 1900s, Port Eynon Beach Cottage has four bedrooms, including a ground floor ensuite room, three further bedrooms upstairs (one ensuite) and a family bathroom. A newly renovated kitchen, dining and living space with wood burner makes it easy to cook, eat and relax together.

Outside, the enclosed space works well for families and your four legged friend, with room to BBQ, play, or sit out with a glass of wine.

Guests describe it as “a wonderful house, perfect for a group or family… a stone’s throw from the beach” and “a beautiful well equipped house in a fabulous location… 5 stars.”

Have you tried an Autumn stay on the Gower? 🍂

Hael Farm Cottage is a beautiful quiet base to explore the Gower Peninsula.

Step out of the front door for amazing walks, with a bridle path just yards away that winds through Bishopston Valley’s caves, woodland and rivers before opening onto Pwll Du Bay. Head the other way and you can join the coastal path for Pobbles and the picture-perfect Three Cliffs Bay.

Most of Gower is within an easy 30 minute drive, so you can pick a different location each day.

Food is easy too, with The Gower Deli, Pennard Stores and Three Cliffs Coffee Shop a short walk from the cottage, all serving or stocking good local produce.

Golfers can book a round at Pennard Golf Club, the “links in the sky”, for big sea views with their game or enjoy a meal overlooking the golf course. Just a few minutes from the cottage.

Return to the cottage after your days adventures and soak in the roll top bath or cosy up in front of the log burner. ☺️

We are indeed situated on the Wales Coastal Path.

If you like walking 🥾🥾and working out which sections of the Coast Path you want to ✅off your list this year or next! Why not try the Gower Peninsula.

With lots of circular routes, or A to B routes with the support of the bus network dropping you at key locations or bringing you back after a long day of walking.

🏠 From Hael Farm Cottage you can pick up the coastal path heading East towards Pwll Du Bay and West towards Three Cliffs and beyond.

🏠For all our cottages in Port Eynon (Whitebridge, Oxwich, Port Eynon & Ivy) just a 2 minute stroll to the beach, offers access to Oxwich View Bay in the East and to the West, The Worms Head, Rhossili and beyond.

🏠 Hael Farm Cottage
"We had a lovely short break at Hael Farm Cottage. It was well equipped, very comfortable and in a beautiful, peaceful location. Jon was a great host too - very friendly and communicative. Highly recommended!"

🏠Oxwich View Cottage
"Oxwich View Cottage was perfect for our family of 4 plus Labrador. Spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. Location great as opposite a good pub and 2 minute walk to the beach where there's a shop, fish & chips and ice cream and another pub. Would definitely like to return."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Whitebridge Cottage. Deb and Dean were excellent hosts—they kept us well-informed and made everything incredibly straightforward. The cottage is finished to a very high standard throughout and is extremely well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The location was perfect, both for local amenities (the pub, beach, and coffee shop are just a short walk away) and for exploring the beautiful Gower Peninsula. We stayed as a multi generational family and Ivy Cottage catered for everyone including our dog !!! The cleanest and most thoughtfully furnished and equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. Not only that it is opposite a child and dog friendly pub and minutes from gorgeous Port Eynon beach and 2 fish and chips shops. Great when the little ones are starving after playing on the beach all day. Book you won’t be disappointed."

Do you have young adults in your family studying at Swansea or Cardiff University?

Or perhaps getting ready to graduate next year!

Our cottages are just a short distance into Swansea and not too far from Cardiff.

We have received many guests this year visiting relatives in one of the universities and instead of basing themselves in Swansea or Cardiff; they have enjoyed an extended trip and spent time visiting the Gower.
