Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. It's not trying to be a 5 star restaurant - it's not trying to be a trendy gastropub. It's a country pub with food - and very good food at that! There are regular Quiz Nights, Music events and special occasion events. As you'd expect from a Kent pub - there's also Bat and Trap and a fine choice of beers and ciders. Plus - there are five B&B rooms - all at excellent prices. Come and visit this little gem of a pub :-)

And finally our monthly quiz night will be held on Monday the 29th of June! 🧠

A lovely little throwback to the East Kent Ploughing Match of 2025.

When Humphrey the Tractor put up his "Follow me back to The Black Pig" signs, we had no idea how many of you would take him up on the invitation. Seeing so many people arrive to the pub meant to the world to us!

The laughter and the wonderful atmosphere made it a day we'll never forget. We were completely overwhelmed by the incredible support and kindness from everyone who came along.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us and made it such a special evening!
